😸I have a soft spot for shy cats and seniors, but love cats and kittens of all ages and personalities... Hello! If you’re anything like me, you might be nervous about leaving your cats with someone new, wondering if they’ll warm up to the new person or get the medications and supplements they need. With multiple senior cats of my own and a long list of their demands, I understand every cat has different needs. I would be honored to fit into their routine as best I can and give your cat-children cuddles, play time or distance (whatever they prefer!) in your absence.

😸I have a soft spot for shy cats and seniors, but love cats and kittens of all ages and personalities.
😸I’m highly involved with a cat sanctuary here and have over 7 yrs of experience volunteering in shelters and rescues.
😸I have experience giving all types of medications (pills, liquid syringe, topicals, eye/ear drops, injections and sub-q fluids). I’d like to gain more experience with the needles (injections & sub-q) before offering those services to you, but feel confident in the rest.
😸I have a unique schedule as a self-employed music teacher, so I can do my best to tend to your normal schedule.
😸When I’m not working or volunteering, I’m probably studying up on cats (podcasts, articles, trainings) or doing yoga.

Are you usually available during holidays?
I’m available pretty much every holiday except the Christmas season and would love to keep your kitties company while you are able to get away.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I have senior cats so their favorite “toys” are their heating pads! I find most cats can’t resist a fishing-pole style interactive toy though, and love that it can fly like a bird or scurry like a mouse, depending on the cat’s hunting style. We’ve also been known to keep cardboard boxes lying around for the cats to “hide” in, lounge in, or scratch.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With timid cats, I might keep my distance but be within eyesight and smelling range. Depending on the body language, I might offer a treat or draw a string across their view to see if that piques their interest for play. If none of that works and the opportunity is there, I would allow them to see me interact positively with another cat in the household. Some cats just need a little time though to warm up to strangers. No offense taken!

Aurora is an excellent cat sitter! During our meet and greet, she made sure to take detailed notes and asked questions to ensure she had all the info on my babies. During visits, Aurora sends great pictures, videos and text updates with all the details of her visit. She is also very attentitive! She brought yummy treats for my shy boy and she even notices tiny changes in him which is critical with him being on palliative care. Aurora offered to water my plants and has even made an extra trip to bring in a package that was delivered while I was away. Im very grateful to have found Aurora and will be booking her again next time!

One of my cats requires medication every 12 hours, so timeliness is incredibly important, and Aurora has always been prompt and reliable. She was amazing start to finish, we had a last second family emergency and had never left our boys with anyone else before they didn’t already previously know, so to say we were nervous about getting a sitter was an understatement. After our meet and greet we were immediately put at ease. Her questions and care during the visit was all we needed to leave for the emergency with a sense of calm. Then, after just a couple of days of updates, she absolutely made a very stressful time for us that much easier to handle with daily picture updates and seeing our boys take to her so well. She was even able to schedule some unforseen emergency time on top of the original request. If you’re a first timer or someone who’s had issues leaving your kitties with a sitter, give her a call, she’ll make all the difference. 😌

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Round Rock cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
