What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been pet sitting for years. When I was younger I would pet sit for friends and family members but my passion started when a client at the clinic I work at requested a sitter instead of boarding their cat. The client was in need of someone who was able to administer insulin on a timed schedule. I ended up bonding with their cat and became their pet sitter anytime they went out of town! I have been caring for a few families pets of and on for a few years now!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about pet sitting is getting to learn each kitty on a deeper level. Learning about their quirks, likes, and dislikes is always so fun for me. I love providing care for all types of kitties and their needs. Every kitty has something new to teach or offer!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one grey tabby named Rue (and a beagle named Radar <3). Rue was a baby when her mother abandoned her. One of my friends in college lived on a plot of land and noticed a litter of kittens in the grass. After visually monitoring the litter, we noticed the mother never came back. Rue was bottle fed which I believe led to her extremely social and talkative behavior. I can literally have a conversation with her! Not only is she super social, she’s also extremely cuddly with pretty much anyone who gives her time to warm up. Shes my bestie!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
