Cat Sitting in San Antonio, TX

Hi! My name is Kenya. I own a cat myself, but due to unfortunate housing circumstances he cannot live in my apartment :c I’ve been cat deprived for a while now and would love to care for a cat in need !!

I’ve volunteered before at an animal shelter and would take care of cats, so I’ve had a range of experience with cat-caring. I also have a cat of my own named Tennis! He is VERY spoiled and I hope to provide the same treatment for your cat ! c:

He is VERY spoiled and I hope to provide the same treatment for your cat ! c:

So you get an ease of mind, I would love to schedule an appointment prior to the cat sitting session so that we can go over any rules, concerns, and questions you might have for me !

I’d like to say that I am a friendly person and that I LOVE cats so much !! I feel like cats bring out the best of me and I am compassionate with them because I know they have feelings the same way we do !

For any further questions feel free to reach out to me !! :D

Hope to hear from you soon 🐈🐈‍⬛💗

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I do! I have my own cat back at home named Tennis! He was the first cat I ever got and I’ve had him for about seven years now. He’s an orange tabby… so I understand the full craze with them! I’ve gotten plenty of the zoomies experience with him and have seen his crazy antics LOL! He’s also an indoor cat, so I understand cats that refuse to leave the house. On the other hand, I also understand outdoor cats! I have a few strays that I take care of at my grandma’s and parent’s house. It’s a bit different from usual indoor cat sitting because I usually just have to feed the cats at certain times within the days. Overall, I love taking care of cats and I ADORE the cats I currently own! Each one is different and has their own personality :D

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

First thing I think is VERY important is going over any specific HOUSE rules! For example, if there’s a specific place you DO NOT want your cat entering, please let me know! It’s very important to establish house rules to someone that’s never been inside of your house. Second, establish CAT rules. Every cat has it’s own rules and boundaries and it’s VERY important for a cat sitter to know! Some cats need some special kind of medication that they must take and so it’s important to let the cat sitter know when and how to give the pet said medication. Third rule is to go over any other small specifics that may make your cat’s stay comfortable with a stranger. For example, maybe your cat likes being pet in a certain part like their head. Let me know! I’d love to make your cat feel loved and comfortable c:

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Cats are BIG on boundaries. Just like us, they have their own limits and comfortabilities. I like to start off by establishing that I am of no harm! I don’t want to give a cat the wrong impression and have them think I’m some kind of enemy. After getting through that first step, I try to slowly get into their comfort bubble. I wanna let them smell me and get used to my scent. I’ll be taking care of them as I do this and hopefully I’ll get the cat to come to slowly realize that I am no threat and just here to look after them! I also understand that some cats just prefer to be left alone (and thats okay)!! I’ll give them the space whenever needed. :)

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

San Antonio cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
