What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a cat sitter for 3 years and absolutely love it! My experience cat sitting has been great thus far!!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love seeing other cat’s personalities and how they play. I also love to learn about cats and I feel sitting gives you that advantage.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting was for two rag doll cats. They ran to the door when I would stop by, I would feed them then clean up after them. When we would finish we would play and those two were so playful. I always look forward to going back.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do!! My cats names are Cheeto (aka Punkin), Katy (aka Pretty girl), Bean (aka lulu-bean), Sox (aka chunks), and Boots.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Advice I would give a customer is to look for someone who is trustworthy and a total cat lover Like me!! Be sure they understand the importance of communication.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
My typical process would be an initial meet and greet, lots of communication, photos and videos of their fur babies, and reassurance their in good hands.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will ensure the safety and security of the cats by locking up when I leave. Making sure everything is locked. Also making sure the cat has access to food and water. Put toys away and leave some out.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available during the holidays. Should it be that I am not, I will block those days as early as possible.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy to use is the laser. No matter how young or old the cat is, I feel they are always attracted to the laser.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I handle timid and anxious cats with lots of patience. I would sit on the floor as to not intimidate the cat and allow them time to come to me when they are ready or feel they can trust me. I have an anxious cat myself and I notice he takes his time to get to know someone.

I cannot recommend Jennifer enough. I have three cats, one of which is a feral rescue who doesn't have any eyes. This cat in particular, Fred, does not really warm up to anyone. On day one, Jennifer had already given Fred pets!!! She spent extra time bonding with my guys, which I really appreciated because I had to be away from home for 10 days, which is a long time for FIV cats given that stress can cause symptoms. All of my cats were happy when I got home! I am so relieved to have found my regular go-to cat sitter.

Jennifer is absolutely wonderful. This was my second opportunity to use her services and I asked for a couple additional checks (watering some plants and changing out my hummingbird feeder). Jennifer was so obliging. Also, one of my kitties had an upset stomach right before my departure; I was anxious about leaving with him possibly being sick. I took him to the vet and she agreed he just had some stomach upset. Jennifer monitored him closely and everything went very smoothly. Her updates and photos kept me informed and totally confident my babies were taken care of. Love her!

We are so happy we booked Jennifer to watch our fur babies! During our week long vacation our cat's timed feeder stopped dispensing food on like day 2. Jennifer identified the problem and stayed to see if the feeder would still give out food at the appropriate time. When the feeder didn't work she fed our cats for the rest of the week. We are so grateful to her for caring about our fur babies to even stay late to help them! She also was able to coax our shy cat out of hiding and sent us pictures of our fur babies! We look forward to booking with Jennifer again!

Jennifer really went above and beyond and I cannot reccomend her enough! Leaving our kitty is always stressful, but Jennifer made us feel at ease and sent so many updates, pictures, and videos. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Antonio cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Jennifer does an amazing job taking care of our fur babies! I love having her come see our babies because she always sends such great photos and videos of them. She is always flexible on giving them different treats and taking care of the different litterboxes we have (we just got a new automatic one). One of our cats is very skittish but she very quickly warmed up to Jennifer. We will continue using her services!
