What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I grew up with cats, so I’m very comfortable around them and understand their behaviors and needs. Over the years, I’ve helped out neighbors by cat sitting whenever they’ve been away, ensuring their cats were well cared for and comfortable. While I’m relatively new to formal cat sitting, I bring a lifetime of experience living with cats and a deep understanding of how to make them feel at ease. I’m excited to offer my services and provide your cat with the same level of care I’ve always given to my own.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Ensuring the safety and security of both the cats and the home is my top priority. I always make sure to follow any specific instructions from the owner regarding access to the home, cat care routines, and emergency contacts. During each visit, I double-check doors to make sure everything is securely closed, and I’ll make sure any areas of the house where the cat shouldn’t go are off-limits. I keep an eye out for anything that could pose a potential risk to the cat or the home, ensuring everything is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’ve had a cat that was particularly timid and anxious, so I understand how important it is to be patient and gentle with them. When caring for anxious cats, I make sure to give them space and let them approach me on their own terms. I also stick to their usual routines as much as possible to reduce stress. I take a calm, quiet approach and avoid overwhelming them, allowing them to feel comfortable at their own pace. My goal is to make sure they feel safe and secure while I’m with them.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
