I have owned cats for the majority of my life and in many instances have preferred their company to people. I may not be certified, but I have spent a lot of time with cats, studying their behavior, and I know how to handle myself around, particularly if/when they need space.
I currently own two cats, Lebowski (white and black cow cat) and Poe (big ol grey boi), who are a bonded pair and get along extremely well with other cats, especially Lebowski... I can't stand it when a cat is sad and lonely! Let me care for the furry friend(s) in your life when life simply won't let you.

I currently own two cats, Lebowski (white and black cow cat) and Poe (big ol grey boi), who are a bonded pair and get along extremely well with other cats, especially Lebowski. I would go so far as to say that he is unnaturally friendly for a cat, often going straight up to new cats to sniff them and not caring much for his own personal space.
I can offer in-person visits, short stays, and overnights across the Salt Lake Valley and Park City. I have a variety of ways to keep your kitty stimulated as well as experience administering topical and oral medications.
Other than cats, I am a big time nerd believe it or not, running D&D games as a Dungeon Master and playing a significant amount of video games. I also write training and educational material for the Utah medical cannabis industry, working with state regulator agencies to stay updated.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for over a year now, specifically with Meowtel since March of this year. I get along very well with cats and they seem to like me too, even those who might be famously shy!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love being present for a cat, even if they don't know that's what I'm there for.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
So far I think it has been Jesse, who would flop over next to me on the couch and make biscuits in the air!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two boys, Lebowski and Poe, who are 10 and 9 respectively. They're the cow cat and big Grey boi in my photos.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Meet and greets are a must!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely I am! All my family is near, so even if I go to visit them it's not outside my sitting range!
What is your favorite cat toy?
Nothing beats ribbon on a stick.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Respect their space of course! Cats just need a bit of time and space.

Corey took care of our two sweet boys who are 8 months old for 3 days and he was awesome! We don’t free feed, so at thier age we needed a cat sitter that would visit them three times a day. Corey was flexible and diligent with his visits and sent pictures/videos of each visit. He played with them and they loved hanging with him in our absence. He also was willing to do a meet and greet prior to our trip, which put our minds at ease. He is our go to cat sitter now and I highly recommend him! Thanks Corey!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Salt Lake City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Corey Qasim extremely professional throughout the entire process. leading up to the reservation, he asked us many questions about our cats: schedule, favorite toys, favorite spots, etc. He made it a point to make sure the cats got familiar with him before the reservation, and he gave them space to approach him. He provided several pictures and videos daily during his visits, and he gave us updates on how the cats were behaving. I would hire Corey again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone needing a cat sitter for longer periods of time.

This was my first time having a cat sitter for my 8 month old kitty. I was very nervous to leave him alone, but after reading Corey’s reviews and exchanging a few messages with him and meeting him at the meet and greet I knew he would be a great fit. He sent photo updates and let me know how my boy was doing multiple times per day. would definitely recommend Corey. He stayed two nights overnight and took great care of my house.

Corey came for three days to spend time with our four kitties, who were pretty shy after the mayhem of us packing for a trip, so he did not see much of them. Where I'm disappointed is the evidence when we returned that their water was left nearly empty, two of the five boxes had not been emptied at all (when I asked for daily scooping), and we got only two separate, brief updates from Corey during the entirety of the reservation. We asked him to be there 90 minutes each of the three days, but it did not show. I'm sure there are some reasons why this happened, but nothing was communicated and for the price of this cat sitting visit I can't say I'm happy at all.
