What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for the last 12 years and still love it so much C: I have administered oral medication and supplements frequently over the years according to the cat parents instructions and not only feed, replace water and clean litterboxes but have also cleaned pet messes too. I make sure to spend some time playing, petting or simply being present with each cat so they aren't as lonely or sad while their pet parents are gone ❤️

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Getting to know and play with different cats C: i have genuinely loved cats since I can remember and have always had at least one cat in my life at a time. If I could, I'd open my own cat rescue to make sure every cat has a home 🥰❤️

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Its hard to pick just one really, but the most recent experience was back in June. There are 2 cats i have watched over the last year, and one of them named Arty is a feral they took in a few years ago. Since the cat is feral, she is fearful of everyone and even still struggle with being social with her own cat parents. Usually when I feed her, I give her space since she's painfully shy and just want to be left alone. The last feeding though she actually approached me as I was giving her the food bowl and it was exciting and moving that they were slowly starting to open up and trust me. Even though we arent at the petting stage yet, I'm happy to slowly get to know Arty and show them that all I want to do is give them love 🥺❤️

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes I do! I have 3 babies named Ichigo(15), Lina (4) and Gourry (4, pronounced "Gow-Ree"). I have raised them all since they were kittens, Gourry especially was small at around 5 weeks old, so he needed special care ❤️

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would say it's important to give written detailed instructions on the cat's feeding amount and schedule, behaviors to monitor, any allergies your kitty may have, what kind of attention they may or may not like and to ensure there are lots of treats and cat safe toys on hand to ensure the sitter and your kitty will become fast friends 👌Being detail oriented is highly encouraged and staying on top of any updates to new changes in health or behaviors your cat may have will make the sit go smoothly ❤️

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Before confirming a booking, I like to verify the dates needed for the booking, any diet restrictions, allergies, medications and behaviors that may be need care and monitoring. Then when everything seems squared away on the details, I will confirm the booking and schedule a meet and greet in a timely matter. I like to make sure everyone's cats get the adequate care they need, I know how stressful it is to travel and some cats need extra care. I want to be the person to provide peace of mind while a cat parents is away ❤️

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I often will see if there's any alarms that need to be set for each time i enter and leave the home and lock up with each sit! I also check to make sure the home doesn't seem disturbed and take pictures of any areas that the client wants attention on! With cats, I made sure there arent any broken cat toys, poisonous plants or any other potential hazards around the home for the kitty to get into. I also make sure i can see them before i leave so they dont escape or get accidentally trapped in any rooms 👍

Are you usually available during holidays?

It depends on my schedule, but if I'll be in town I will do my best to be available ❤️ If you're unsure about my availability or are thinking about booking with me fornthe holidays, try shooting me a message! I typically tend to book up quick during any major holidays so be sure to reach out at least 2 weeks ahead of time!

What is your favorite cat toy?

A wand with a string attached is always a cat favorite! They also like cat springs and little wand toys with crinkle strings attached 😊

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I like to give a shy kitty their space and if they'll approach me eventually, give them kitty treats and try to play with them as much as possible to help establish a relationship with the cat. Sometimes just being near the cat while doing your own thing is the best way to help them start opening up to you too 🥰❤️

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
