Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite has to be Megatron! I've known her for about 7 years now and always look forward when I get to go look after her for holidays sometimes. She has a lot of personality and is very bossy and demands that we cuddle as much as much as possible.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do! Her name is Selkie and we've been together for a little over 4 years now. She is very much my shadow, and follows me everywhere I go. She was incredibly fearful when I first adopted her, and now while still a bit skittish, she has more confidence and has become much more talkative.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
It's important for me to hear about your cat, what needs they have, what their personality is like, and the expectations you have for them to be taken care of.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am almost always available during holidays and am happy to look after your cat(s) during vacations and holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Lots of patience! I move more slowly around the home, use a gentle voice and sometimes just sit, waiting to see if that's enough for them to relax a little. With my Selkie, I found that playing with a cat cat, but not particularly paying attention to her, caught her attention and she couldn't help but start to shift from shy and scared to playful. Working with shy/fearful cats can take extra works and time, but I am always willing and it's truly so rewarding when I see them begin to slowly relax and feel more trusting.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
