1. Feeding and Watering: I will ensure your cat's dietary needs are met by preparing and serving meals according to your instructions. Fresh water will always be readily available.
2. Litter Box Maintenance: Maintaining a clean litter box is essential for your cat's health and comfort. I will diligently scoop and clean the litter box during each visit, leaving it fresh and odor-free.
3. Playtime and Exercise: Engaging your cat in playtime and providing regular exercise is crucial for their mental and physical well-being. I will spend quality time engaging in interactive play sessions to keep them entertained and active.
4. Grooming and Hygiene: Cats require regular grooming to keep their coats healthy and free from matting. If needed I will provide gentle brushing and combing to ensure your cat remains clean and comfortable.
5. Medication Administration: If your cat requires medication, I am experienced in administering oral medications and can ensure they receive their prescribed dosage on time.
6. Daily Updates: I understand the importance of peace of mind while you are away from your beloved pet. I will provide daily updates, including photos and messages, to keep you informed about your cat's well-being and activities.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for five years now! I have always been the trusted friend who looks in on peoples pets and I love everyone’s animals like they are my own!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know new kitties and I also love seeing how other people raise/nurture/play with their cats! Life is a learning experience and every client does something a little different!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting reservation is a 10 month old kitty named Levi, who is a ball of fun and a chatty boy, he purrs like a tree frog lol! you can just tell how happy he is to see me every time I get there. I love spending time with him. It’s super hard to choose just one favorite though! I love kitties who let their personality shine!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do! I have two brothers who I rescued from the aspca in nyc! They are named Rio and kaju and they are the loves of my life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who you *feel* is the right fit! It’s hard to trust our babies with new people so I always trust my gut when setting up a new sitter.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I make sure to be super responsive and as communicative as possible. During a meet and greet I make sure to show that their kitties will be comfortable and safe with me. I try to ask as many questions as I can so I don’t have to bother them later.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will always make sure I put eyes on any kitty that I am supposed to be watching. Even if your kitty is a master of hiding, I’ll make sure to check for them without causing them too much stress, both when I arrive as well as right before I leave. I will make sure to always check for any dangerous items in the house, plastic bags, open doors, open windows etc I would never want a kitty to get out on my watch! I will always double check that i have locked the door on my way out as well!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I try to make sure that I’m at least available for one time a day visits but can do more as needed!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love feather on a stick toys, and small rattle mice for my personal kitties but every cat has different preferences!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I never push myself on the kitty. If your cat is super timid I will go about my business caring for the cat and filling food or scooping litter and let the kitty approach me on its own time. I will always speak gently while I’m there to the kitty to get it used to my energy!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Virginia Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Aisha is a true cat whisperer. She was able to win over our very shy senior cats, not an easy task! We will always worry how our babies are when we’re gone, but Aisha provided so much peace of mind while we were away. She was communicative, professional, and diligent about taking care of our cats. I cannot recommend Aisha highly enough. She was absolutely fantastic while caring for my cat, Mimi, during my recent trip. She provided photo and video updates at every visit, played with Mimi, and took care of her litter box, and changed her water each day. I was quite anxious leaving Mimi in the new apartment I recently moved into but Aisha's frequent communication put me and Mimi at ease. It was great to see them get to know each other over video! I couldn't have asked for a better experience :)

Aisha was amazing! We never leave our cats for long periods of time but we had to be away for a week. We met Aisha and introduced her to the cats. she was kind and respectful to their personal space and made sure that their lives were uninterrupted as possible.
