What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been a cat person since day one - I grew up with two and we had four by the time I moved out for college! I also volunteered at a Petsmart adoption center for about a year, caring for lots of cats and kittens daily because I missed my cats at home so much! I’ve fostered a handful of cats from kittens to adult/senior cats as well. Between that and years of personal experience, I’m very comfortable with everything from playtime, cleaning up, and medications. I now own two dogs out in Virginia Beach with my husband, so if you have a cat & dog household, I am happy to accommodate and pet sit for all pets if needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When I work with a new cat parent, I like to start with a meet & greet (even over a video call) to learn about your kitty’s routine, favorite toys, feeding schedule, and any special needs. I’ll also ask about if you’d like updates, how often, photos, preferred communication style, and emergency contacts. During visits, I stick closely to your instructions while making sure your cat feels safe and cared for. I’ll send regular updates with photos if you’d like so you know exactly how your kitty is doing! My goal is to make the experience stress-free for both you and your cat.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Growing up with a very timid black cat named Tippy, I’m very aware of caring for kitties with anxiety. I don’t mind if your kitty is hiding when I arrive, I will make sure they are safe in the house, have food, water, etc. and give them lots of treats and love if they come out from under the bed/hiding spot! I truly treat your cat like I would my own, I always give Tippy love when he comes out but allow him to feel safe by hiding if that’s what he chooses to do.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
