During my visits, I follow a cozy, cat-first routine: fresh food, clean water, a tidy litter box, and then whatever makes your feline happiest — wand-toy action, slow blinks from across the room, treats on demand, or simply being their quiet companion while they judge me from the couch. I let your cat set the vibe, and I never force interactions. They lead, I follow… just like at home with my own cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When I work with a new cat parent, I start with a friendly conversation and a meet-and-greet to learn all about your cat’s personality, routines, and comfort zones. I tailor each visit to what your cat needs—whether that’s playtime, quiet companionship, or slow-blink reassurance—and I follow your feeding, litter, and home-care instructions exactly. Before the booking begins, I confirm all details so everything feels clear and stress-free. During your time away, I keep you connected with updates and photos, and I always communicate any important changes. My goal is to make your cat feel safe and understood, and to give you peace of mind from start to finish.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When I’m caring for someone’s cat, I treat their home and their pet with the same level of attention and protection I use in my own space. Safety is always step one. Before a visit, I review feeding instructions, routines, hiding spots, and any special needs so nothing is overlooked. For home security, I lock up carefully, respect any alarm or camera systems, follow your preferences for lights or blinds, and keep everything exactly as I found it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Williamsburg cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
