As a cat mom of four, I understand how important it is to have someone you truly trust caring for your cats while you’re away. My own cats have different personalities, routines, and needs, so I’m very comfortable adjusting my approach to each individual cat.

During each visit, I will carefully follow your feeding and care instructions, refresh water, clean litter boxes, and spend quality time with your cat based on their personality and comfort level. Whether your cat loves playtime and attention or prefers a little extra space, I will always respect their boundaries and let them interact at their own pace.

I’m also very attentive to small changes in appetite, litter box habits, behavior, energy level, and overall condition. I know cats can be very good at hiding discomfort, so I believe careful observation is an important part of cat sitting.

I’m comfortable caring for cats with sensitive stomachs, cleaning up occasional accidents or vomiting, and following detailed feeding routines. I’ll also send you thoughtful updates and photos so you can feel confident that your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

I treat every cat I care for with the same patience, attention, and respect that I give my own four cats.

Learn More About Xingran

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting professionally for about a year through Pawsible, where I’ve received only positive reviews. Before that, I was often the go-to cat sitter for friends whenever they traveled, so caring for cats outside of my own home has been part of my life for much longer. I adjust my visits to each cat’s personality. With outgoing, energetic cats, I’m happy to play with them until they’re tired and ready for a nap! With more introverted cats, I don’t force interaction. Instead, I pay close attention to whether they’re eating normally, using the litter box, and behaving as expected. To me, a successful visit isn’t about getting every cat to play or cuddle with me—it’s about making sure each cat feels safe and is well cared for in the way that suits them best.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have four cats, each with a completely different personality. Goofy, 6, is our queen. She loves people but isn’t nearly as enthusiastic about other cats. She definitely gets jealous, although she’s far too proud to admit it. Naruto, 4, loves her food and can be protective of it. She is terrified of dogs, but surprisingly fearless around people—even toddlers! Mint, 3, is my only boy and the biggest cat in the house, but somehow also the biggest scaredy-cat. He has been known to startle himself with a noise he made and then run for his life. Fortune, 3, is the opposite of Goofy: she loves other cats much more than people. Even when another cat gets annoyed with her, she still wants to cuddle. She also REALLY loves food. Living with four such different personalities has taught me that there’s no single “right” way to interact with a cat:)

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With very timid cats, I understand that I may not see them at all during a visit—and that’s okay. I won’t pull a cat out of a hiding place or force an interaction just to prove that I saw them. If a cat is hiding somewhere I can’t safely locate them, I look for other signs of their well-being: whether their food has been eaten, how much water they’ve had, and whether the amount and appearance of urine and stool in the litter box seem normal. I’ll report these observations to their parent so they still know how their cat is doing. If a shy cat chooses to approach me, I let them set the pace. I’ll offer my hand for them to sniff and watch their facial expressions and body language before attempting gentle pets around the head. I avoid sensitive areas such as the belly, paws, tail, and rear unless

Xingran did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Novie, during my vacation. She was very responsible, attentive, and clearly experienced with cats. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Novie can be a bit sensitive, but he was relaxed and comfortable under her care. I truly appreciate Xingran’s dedication and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

I’ve known Xingran for several years, and I can confidently say that she genuinely loves cats and takes amazing care of them. She has four cats of her own, and it’s very clear how much time, attention, and love she puts into each of them. They’re all healthy, well cared for, and clearly very happy. Xingran goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for her cats. She regularly grooms them, brushes their teeth, and gets them fun cat trees and other things to keep them comfortable and entertained. She really pays attention to their individual needs and treats them like family. I have two cats myself, and Xingran is the person I trust most when I’m out of town and need someone to take care of them. I know they’re in good hands with her. I would absolutely recommend Xingran to anyone looking for someone who will treat their cats with care and love.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Bothell cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
