Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 wonderful cats - the first is Teddy, a male orange tabby. He is rambunctious, loves people, and truly will do anything for a treat. My second cat is Lavender, a female torbie. She is shy, sweet, and a super cuddly kitty. I adore my fur babies and love to spend as much time as I can with them.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is a special puzzle box for giving treats to my cats! It’s an easy way to entertain, allowing them to sniff, find, and dig around inside until they get a treat! It keeps them occupied, engaged, and rewards the good effort. It can be great mental stimulation when you’re busy in the home.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My own cat, Lavender, is particularly anxious and shy around new people. At times, she can even be shy with us (her owners). To help a timid cat feel comfortable, I might sit in the room to start, provide food and treats to create positive association, introduce toys if they are interested, and speak in a calm quiet voice. These tactics can help an anxious cat to get used to your presence. If I’m lucky enough to see them, I can use slow-blinking, lower myself to their level and relaxing in the room until they’re more comfortable. The secret with a shy cat is truly patience!

Guen is the most reliable person I have ever met. Something I've always feared when leaving my pets with others is that they'll somehow get out of the house or be hurt, and our sitter would try to hide it from us. Guen is and has always been the type of person to treat and love our pets like her own, and I trust her unilaterally with my own cats because I know that if something were ever to go wrong, she would drop everything to make sure my cats are safe and cared for. Anyone can be a "cat sitter" who plays with cats, feeds them, and changes litterboxes. But what sets Guen apart is the fact that if something were to go wrong, she would be just as diligent in caring for my cats as I would be - giving me peace of mind leaving my own with her.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Kenmore cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
