I'm Constance

Cat Sitting in Kent, WA

Hi, I'm Constance (Cee for short)! I'm a cat lover with my own precious furbaby who I miss like crazy every time I travel, so I understand the anxiety around finding a trustworthy catsitter who will love your cat like their own. I also promise to take a zillion cute pictures if I get the opportunity to look after your beloved cat(s)!

I enjoy meeting cats on their own terms (whether friendly or aloof), and I'm familiar with cats who take a while to warm up to folks, and giving them space while spending enough time with them for them to get used to my presence...

I enjoy meeting cats on their own terms (whether friendly or aloof), and I'm familiar with cats who take a while to warm up to folks, and giving them space while spending enough time with them for them to get used to my presence. I'm also very experienced with senior cats (my current kitty is 18+, and our eldest lived to the ripe old age of 23!), their needs, and how to find their favorite scritching spots.

As a sitter, I'm very cognizant of your home environment as well as your animals, and strive to leave everything the same or better than I found it. I'm also a houseplant parent and experienced with caring for plants, if that's something you might need!

⚠️ Scheduling notices (as of May 2026): ⚠️
- I am reducing my sitting area just for June and July so as not to travel into peak World Cup stadium traffic.
- If I've sat for your cats before and you're no longer seeing me as bookable, please feel free to message me - I'm happy to make an exception for my favorite fur-riends!

Learn More About Constance

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting and befriending new cats - their personalities are all so distinct, but all of them are adorable. I will confess also there's nothing quite like the feeling of earning the trust of a shy cat and being deemed a Safe Person or Good Ear Scratcher! The only feeling that comes close is getting to sit for a cat again and seeing them run up to me because they remember me! 💓

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to schedule a meet & greet about a week or so before the sit, so details stay fresher in my head and your cats remember me a little better! I'll have a checklist of areas and questions to cover (diet, litter management, personality or typical behavior, favorite toys/treats/hiding spots, etc.). I'll be taking copious notes on my phone and will send you a recap of everything we covered to ensure that I didn't miss anything!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I'm very particular about ensuring cats don't escape (having had indoor cats of varying curiosity levels in my life) and also take home security seriously. Your home is your safe place, and I want to keep it that way! I'd want no less for my own home and cats.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

For cats with strong motivations (e.g. food or play), favorite treats or toys can often be an easy shortcut. For particularly anxious cats or cats who have faced abuse or trauma, there is no shortcut - the key is simply time and familiarity. Avoiding eye contact or blinking slowly, sitting on the ground to avoid looming over them, and using higher-pitched and soothing tones (I often meow little songs at cats!) are all techniques I use to slowly win their trust. Some cats also want affection in very specific ways (e.g. will flinch or shy away from hands/fingers but rub happily against legs or feet) and I try to carefully observe those reactions and preferences and meet cats where they are most comfortable.

Constance took wonderful care of our mom-and-son cat duo, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Her attention to detail was excellent, and she made sure both cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She was kind & caring and also brought a fun, playful energy that our cats clearly enjoyed. We felt completely confident in her reliable service and thoughtful updates while we were away. We would be very happy to have her care for our cats again and highly recommend her!

Tender loving care! Constance was incredibly loving to our elderly (18 year old) kitty. Minka has had some mobility issues, and Constance assisted her gently, and even got her to play a bit with the laser. Constance also brought in our packages, and watered a few plants. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing that beloved Minka was being cared for. Highly recommend! Five stars!

Constance is an absolute superstar!!! She watched my 17 year old cat Mimi while we were away for two weeks and did a fantastic job. She took excellent notes during our meet and greet, and provided detailed updates and photos for every visit. My cat is pretty shy around new people, but Constance was able to get pets, brushes, and squeeze treats to her, and I could tell from the photos that my girl was happy to see her. She also watered some of my needier plants while we were away which was a huge bonus. I would totally recommend Constance to another pet parent and will be looking to use her in the future!!!

Highly recommend for two reasons: 1) Attentive to Details. Constance met prior to the reservation to go over every detail of each visit and made sure to capture notes like favorite toys, favorite petting areas, and hiding spots. 2) Responsive. Constance sent recaps of each visit with photos and always responded to my questions.

I had the best experience having Constance cat sit!! This was my first experience having a cat sitter (instead of taking my kitty to cat boarding). Getting tons of pictures and multiple paragraphs of updates every day was so reassuring for me, and the care and attention Constance gave to my kitty was above and beyond. She went at his pace and befriended even my persnickety kitty who doesn’t often warm up to people. Before, when I’ve gotten him home from cat boarding, he always seemed stressed, tired, and out of sorts. After having Constance cat sit, my kitty is his usual self, happy and healthy, and doesn’t seem all that bothered that I was gone for 2 weeks! 😂 I will definitely be booking Constance to care for my kitty again in the future!!

This is my second time having Constance watch my senior cat Mimi and I can’t recommend them enough!!! Constance provided timely updates on food, water, and little and got my shy cat to come out of her shell for some pets.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Kent cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
