I previously cared for cats through Meowtel in 2025 and early 2026, and I’m excited to return! My... Hello! I’m Allison, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for over 15 years. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for cats and understand how much they mean to their families. When I lived in Maryland, I had a beloved tuxedo Maine Coon named Naim who was my very best friend. He taught me just how special the bond between a person and their cat can be.
I previously cared for cats through Meowtel in 2025 and early 2026, and I’m excited to return! My goal is to make every visit calm, loving, and comfortable for your cat while you’re away. I understand that every cat has a unique personality, whether they’re playful and social or shy and need a little extra time to feel safe.
I’ll follow your care instructions carefully, provide affection at your cat’s comfort level, and make sure their food, fresh water, litter box, and routines are taken care of. I also know how reassuring it is to receive updates about your furry family member while you’re away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
“I understand that every cat has its own personality, and some need extra patience and reassurance. When caring for a timid or anxious cat, I always approach slowly, speak softly, and allow them to come to me when they’re comfortable. I never force interaction. Instead, I focus on creating a calm, safe environment and maintaining their familiar routines. With over 15 years of experience caring for animals, I’ve learned that building trust takes time, kindness, and consistency. My goal is always to help every cat feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away.”
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality and building a special bond with them. Some cats are playful and affectionate, while others are shy and need patience. I love earning their trust and making them feel safe and loved. There’s nothing better than having a cat who was initially shy eventually come over for affection!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I have had many wonderful experiences caring for cats over the years. One of my favorite things about cat sitting is watching a cat become more comfortable with me over time. I especially enjoy those moments when a shy cat begins to trust me and looks forward to my visits. Knowing that I’ve helped a cat feel safe and happy while their family is away is incredibly rewarding.

This was my first time using a pet sitter besides family members. I was very nervous especially since my cat was just diagnosed with diabetes and having health issues. Allison was wonderful! She sent text and photo updates throughout the day. She was flexible to our personal needs and confirmed once Sailor had his new daily medication. It was such a relief knowing he was being cared for by someone who has experience giving medication and my spicy cat warmed up to her. When I got home Sailor looked so much healthier, he is already healing and I owe a huge Thank You to Allison!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Kent cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
