What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over 13 years of cat care experience. For more than a year, I have been working as a successful pet sitter, caring for various cats in Redmond. On a personal note, I raised my own beloved cat who spent 13.5 wonderful years with me until he passed away in March 2026. Because he had a heart condition that required lifelong medication, I am highly experienced in following strict medical routines, reading cat body language, and giving extra tender loving care to cats who need it.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I love most is earning a cat’s trust and discovering their unique personality. Every cat is such an individual - some are playful goofballs who love chasing lasers, while others are quiet souls who just want to sit nearby and purr. Having spent 13.5 wonderful years with my own beloved cat, I know how comforting it is to see a kitty feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their parents are away. Making them feel loved and spoiled is the most rewarding part of this job for me!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite reservation was a series of drop-in visits for an incredibly shy rescue cat. When I arrived at the client's home, she was terrified of noises and immediately hid in the guest bathroom. I wanted her to feel completely safe, so I set up her food, water, favorite toys, and a cozy bed right there inside her chosen safe space and gave her plenty of privacy.After a few days of quiet and patient visits, she achieved a mini-victory: she started coming out to greet me and eventually let me pet her! She realized I was a friend who respected her boundaries. It was so rewarding to see her open up at her own pace and know that my patience made her feel safe in her own home.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
