When I’m not caring for cats, I work full-time remotely, which allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive pet care. In my free time, I enjoy hiking outdoors with my wife, spending time with family and cooking. Fun fact, both of my cats are leash trained so I do get to take them out hiking! *Meowtel does not insure cats to go outside but I would be happy to share any tips with you if you are looking to leash train your cat.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over 10+ years of experience cat sitting, including caring for cats with various medical conditions. As a lifelong cat owner, I understand the importance of tailoring care to each cat’s individual needs. I look forward to meeting you and your family and providing the best care for your feline family!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality and building that trust. I take pride in ensuring your home is clean and your cat feels comfortable, all while leaving you feeling at ease. I also love capturing adorable photos of your gorgeous cats to share with you!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting experience was caring for a 19-year-old Siamese who was experiencing health concerns. Over the course of a week-long stay, we bonded closely, and I was able to build his trust slowly. One of the most rewarding moments was teaching him how to high-five! It was heartwarming to see this old soul acting like a playful kitten again, and it truly felt special to be there for him during that difficult time.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Wiley and Wrigley! Wrigley is a sweet ragdoll and Wiley is our spunky Himalayan mix. They are both leash trained and love to adventure with me and my partner outdoors.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My advice is to look for someone that will treat your kitties as if they were their own. I would only trust a fellow cat owner to take care of my cats. I’ve been a Meowtel user myself for years and I would look for someone that’s friendly, patient, punctual and happy to be there. I can’t wait to meet you!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I’d love to schedule a meet and greet to get to know your expectations and of course meet your kitties. I will be as thorough as possible as to not leave any questions for you when you are out of town.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will make sure everything is in its place exactly as I have found it if not better. I love to clean!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am typically around for holidays. I will keep my Calandar as updated as possible. Occasionally I have work conferences but these are typically only 2x a year.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Any toy from the “Yeowww” brand. I’ve never met a cat who didn’t love it! This is a catnip toy so if your cat is allergic, my runner up would be the tower of tracks. It’s a hit in our home!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My Wiley girl can be timid and anxious at times. With my experience at the veterinary hospital and having a timid cat at home I have learned to let them set their boundaries and respect them. I would never want to make your cat feel uncomfortable. If playtime and petting isn’t their thing, I’ll do my best to entertain them with some dance moves and snap a picture for you. I will learn to read their body language for any signs of stress, frustration and make sure to keep them at ease. (I can love from afar)

Oh my goodness! there are not adequate enough words to describe the love, care, and undividing attention that Carlie gave to my kitty babies! Carlie, is absolutely a gem, And she had to take my girl kitty to the emergency vet while I was gone, and she handled it like a pro, and I was able to continue on with the workshop that I was at, with ease! She checked in with me every day with the sweetest and most thorough check-ins! And the most amazing pictures of my kitty babies ever! literally I have saved them all and plan on printing them! Carlie, even left me a welcome home note for me! It was beyond sweet! It literally made me cry! My kitty babies we're so happy, and relaxed, and we're so loved with Carlie's care- The proof was in the pudding in the videos that she sent me! My kitty girl has to receive insulin twice a day, and Carlie was, so gentle and loving with her, and Sadie took her shots like a doll! Carlie, also swept around their cat box area everyday- and they can make a huge mess, the floor and area around their cat box and hallway when I came home was spotless! Their fountain was full and clean, their toys were picked up when I came home, and she took out the trash! If that was not spectacular enough, she brought in my mail, and a big giant package of bottled water that I cannot move from the family room to the kitchen before I left! I would beyond highly recommend Carlie, for your kitty sitter care! She is the only person I will use from here on out! I'll never be able to adequately thank her!

Carlie is absolutely wonderful!!! ❤️ We have a diabetic kitty who receives insulin injections twice a day and we were nervous leaving her with a sitter for the first time since her diagnosis. Carlie was so reassuring and made us feel so at ease leaving our sweet girl in her care. She is a great communicator and left us with the “warm fuzzies” every step of the way. In addition to the usual sitter responsibilities, Carlie gave her insulin injections and oral meds, lots of love and play time, and sent photos and reassuring messages that all was well. It was very clear how much Carlie loves and understands kitties! If you need a sitter who is loves kitties, is very competent, thorough and reassuring for anxious pet parents, we HIGHLY recommend Carlie!!! Megan and Shawn

Carlie is amazing. She looked after my kitties for 6 days. She was prompt with communication and sent great photos. She tended the kitty box and surveyed the floors for any hairball surprises. I have cameras so that I can check on my kitties any time since they always hide and are tough for sitters to find. I one day one of my cats didn't come out after Carlie left. I texted Carlie and she immediately came to the house and found kitty sleeping under the couch. She gave me such peace of mind by doing this extra visit. I will request her services in the future.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Ridgefield cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
