When I visit, I start by checking their water, then their food, ensuring all essentials are fresh and ready... Hello! My name is CJ, and I’m a 34-year-old lifelong cat lover with over two decades of experience caring for cats. I got my first cat at the age of 8, and since then, I’ve built a deep understanding of feline behavior and needs. I love seeing a cat’s excitement during playtime, hearing them purr with contentment, and creating a safe, stress-free environment for them while their human is away.
When I visit, I start by checking their water, then their food, ensuring all essentials are fresh and ready. I call them out with treats and spend time playing, offering cuddles, scritches, or just quiet companionship—whatever makes them most comfortable. I respect each cat’s unique personality and always let them set the pace for our interactions. I always finish each visit with cleaning up anything that’s cat related and making sure they are all set, happy, safe, and comfortable.
I pride myself on being detail-oriented, attentive, and committed to developing trust. My goal is to lessen their anxiety, help them feel relaxed, and hopefully become their favorite nanny! I’d love the chance to meet your kitty and ensure they feel loved and cared for while you’re away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been pet sitting for 15 years, and have had cats of my own since I can remember. I have a handful of steady cat clients and take on new ones all the time.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy the chance to meet and develop relationships with new kitties and new people. I enjoy the chance to provide exceptional sitting services so that you can feel comfortable and secure that while you’re away, your kitty is being cared for with the highest level of care and attention. I go above and beyond to make sure to not only meet the specific physical and emotional needs of each cat, but develop a reciprocal relationship with each client so they know they have someone ready to help whenever needed!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two kitties! Jasper is my sweet Bombay boy, and Sunshine is my little calico snuggler. They’re favorite thing is chasing treats around the house or waiting patiently by me while I’m working on an art project, likely with a string lying suspiciously close to them.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I’m very happily available during holidays, and have family in town, leaving me with ample time to take care of kitties while you visit your out of town family and friends!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When I cat-sit, I respect the cat’s space, move calmly, and let them approach me. Soft voices, slow blinks, treats, and toys help build trust, while sticking to their routine keeps them comfortable. I watch their body language and let them set the pace. I always enter a home or a room with a focus on how my energy may affect an animal, so I keep myself calm and peaceful with some breathwork before entering to ensure the cat feels safe.

My 2 fur-babes were in purr-fect hands with CJ while I was gone! I felt so comfortable having CJ check on them when I was out of the country (with hit or miss WiFi)—she sent the best updates (even when they were shy and wouldn’t make an appearance), had the sweetest playtime pictures and videos, and was always available if I had a random question or suggestion to encourage them to be a little less standoffish.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Spokane cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Cj (Catherine) is a cat's dream. Her own house is a kitty jungle with wall installations she's constructed as a woodworker for her cats' enrichment. She is deeply knowledgeable on cat behaviors and is able to read cues and provide exactly what they need, whether it's stimulation and play, nutrition, or a hideout.

Catherine is the next best thing to myself when it comes to caring for my pets! I know she will successfully give them medication at the proper time, I know she will feed them on time, the litter box will be cleaned at least once a day. I know she will never let my precious babes go outdoors unless they are on a leash and a harness with very close supervision. She understands cat behavior and body language. She wants to make sure my cats feel safe, comfortable and loved. She understands change is difficult for cats and does everything she can to help them feel comfortable. I will always trust her with my animals! She’s also very clean and I am never afraid of coming home to a dirty mess after she’s been there!
