I take the health and safety of both your cats and you seriously. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 and regularly get flu vaccines every year. Rest assured that your cat's environment will always be kept clean and sanitized according to your preferences.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have about five years of experience as a pet sitter for friends and family, having cared for various cats and dogs with diverse needs and temperaments. In addition to my pet-sitting experience, I've volunteered at local animal shelters and humane societies as a preteen and again as an adult, where I honed my skills in feline care. I have been cat-sitting on Meowtel for three years, and in that time, I've had the opportunity to care for cats with various personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy providing the best care for all the sweet kitties I meet.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I find great joy in cat sitting because of the unique bond I develop with each cat. I like creating a comfortable and happy environment for them, whether it's through playtime, cuddles, or ensuring their well-being. I think my biggest joy is getting a previously shy cat to warm up to me throughout the reservation. As a cat person and cat mom myself, meeting new kitties and making sure they are happy is the best job I could have.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I am a proud cat mom! After graduating from college and settling in my apartment, I adopted a black cat named Ms. Eglantine Price and she is my baby and my best friend.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would recommend customers look for a cat sitter with experience in handling cats, or even better, they own cats themselves. A good cat sitter should understand cat behavior and be able to recognize signs of distress or illness. This ensures they can respond appropriately to your cat's needs. I'd also recommend choosing a cat sitter who asks for a lot of information and advice during the meet and greet and communicates effectively. Regular updates, including photos or messages about your cat's well-being, can provide peace of mind while you're away.

Yep, I am! I never really travel out of town for holidays or special occasions so I’m always available for cat sitting!

It is very obvious that Alexa loves cats. I have a very shy male cat and she was patient with him and won him over. At first he would hide under the bed when she visited and she laid on the floor and played with him under the bed! Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Vancouver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Alexa was fantastic! I originally booked her for one overnight stay, but when I unexpectedly had to extend my trip, she was flexible and happy to stay a second night on very short notice. She quickly won over my shy cats and gave each one exactly what they needed, whether that was playtime, brushing, or just quiet pets. I have difficult “pandemic kitties”. One is terrified of strangers and the other gets spicy with strangers, despite them otherwise being sweet and cuddly girls. My cat was very happy upon our return. I usually get an earful and the cold shoulder after a trip, but not this time. She had no complaints! I was grateful that Alexa was willing to learn how to administer an inhaler to my asthmatic kitty and gave me regular updates on that and her other medication. Alexa will be our go to kitty sitter. She understood our shy little Tinkerbell and treated her accordingly. Tinkerbell was happy, not mad, when we got home. Alexa did everything very well. I loved all the photos and updates. Thank you Alexa

Alexa is everything you could wish for in a cat sitter—so attentive, caring, and an excellent communicator (providing thoughtful and informative daily updates with photos and videos). Alexa really put us at ease and allowed us to really relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our cats and house were safe and secure. Our cats loved her, even the 2 that are harder to win over. We definitely will hire Alexa again for future cat care needs!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Alexa provided for our two cats, who have very different personalities. She was incredibly kind and compassionate with both of them, taking the time to meet their individual needs. Alexa does a great job caring for our cat, following instructions and communicating timely updates, and providing love and scritches. I'd almost say our cat is more affectionate with her than he is with us! We're happy that he is a fan of her visits and in good hands while we're away.
