About me: I'm a very responsible and reliable person. You can count on me! We recently lost our beloved cat, Oreo. :( He was our big darling tuxedo boy& a bit of a "stunt" cat and fun to watch as he would scale the tops of doors and balance on the tiniest of edges! :) I've had cats nearly all of my life, and they are my favorite.
We currently have been adopted by 2 of our neighborhood cats ands they are getting... Hi there! I'm Ania, I adore cats, and I can’t wait to meet yours! I live in the Downtown Vancouver area. I try to schedule myself around the local area neighborhoods as much as possible. I can add a few more households & kitties to my regular cat-sitting schedule! I am looking to work with more downtown/ uptown cat families. :)

I'm very intuitive to pets' needs, and they will be well watched and cared for while under my care. When I come for a visit, I do lots of observing to see what your cat might like as far as interaction. If they enjoy snuggling, we snuggle. If they want to play or hang out with me, that's okay, too. Some cats just want to watch you, and you can be in their space providing comfort to them however they allow.
What to expect: I check, clean, and re-fill all of the food/water/litter and also watch for anything unsafe for them to get into while you are not there to supervise. I'll spend the rest of my visit cuddling, playing, giving treats, taking pictures of your pal to share with you, or just being present for your kitties.
I will send you updates on what I did during my visit as well as pictures and sometimes videos from my visit. I can also take care of other things around the house if you ask me before I get there and time allows. (For example: turn certain items on or off, water a plant, pick up mail, bring in a package, etc.)

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting thru Meowtel for several years now and before that was the go-to cat sitter for family and friends who know me and my passion for cats! I’d say I’m an expert.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love cat sitting - first and foremost, because I love cats, and spending time with them brings me great joy to see them happy or excited and to know they are taken care of.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Oreo! He’s my stunt cat and loves to race up and down the stairs. He follows me around the house and sniffs me very curiously when I’ve come back from a cat sitting. 😻 We also have three neighborhood cats that visit nearly every, Oscar, Oliver, and Tika. They know how much we love them so they just hang out, and check in with us on occasion.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My advice when looking for a new sitter is finding someone that you can communicate well with, that has a good vibe for you and someone in your area makes a lot of sense since weather things happen and if they are close that’s so helpful!! For example, we’ve had I’ve storms and clients I’ve sat for in the past have been stranded out of town but I was able to jump right in to help with the cats and getting heat going, etc at their homes. What a weight off their shoulders!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is huge for me and the cats I sit with. I always walk into a home with my giant bag of coats in front of me in case anyone is planning a surprise escape or trying to pull a runner! After that, every time I am over, I do a quick safety check regarding cooking hazards or appliances, they might jump on and have a lid come down (top load washing machines, for example). I pick up any loose, small strings or rubber bands- anything they could eat or choke on while their human is away.

Ania was lovely to work with from start to finish, and took excellent care of our two adult cats with very different personalities! She was thoughtful in getting information before our trip, and followed up with lots of questions and updates throughout. I especially appreciated the advance notice when her schedule was going to be slightly different, so that we weren't worried about when she'd visit. We would absolutely love to work with her again, and returned home to two happy and well-fed kitties.

Ania was amazing. She came by and met the cats before we left. When we were gone she sent us updates and photos and took perfect care of our boys. Our older guy tends to not warm up to people and he loved her from the moment he met her, which is always a good sign. Will definitely be using her again for our future trips.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Vancouver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
