Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I am happily the mom of two sweet boys, Nalo and Diego. Nalo is a 12 year old Maine Coon that has taught me more about creating and reinforcing boudaries than anyone else. Nalo came from an abusive home where they declawed him and neglected him. After many years of slowly building trust he now greets me by the door every time I walk in and we pawtrol the hallways to ensure everyone in our apartment is safe. He has been diagnosed with heart failure and he has taught me many different ways to safely administer meds without breaking trust. Diego is a 1 year old short haired tabby that has reminded me how much energy I have. He is full of life and curiosity. He cries for me and big brother to come back from our walks. Hes only known a world of love and trust.

Are you usually available during holidays?

My job has me on a set holiday rotation so there will be some holidays I will not be able to, however, this is predetermined on a rotating basis so I will know my availability for many years to come.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy isn't a cat toy at all! When I first moved out of my parents house I did not have too much extra money to spend. One day I was eating some pringles and Mr. Nalo came over and snatched the lid right away from the top of the can! Many years later we still have a small stash of pringle can lids and milk rings that we play fetch with.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I take a 'meet everyone where they are at' approach to caring for all kitties, especially timid or anxious cat. I know our cats probably miss us as much as we miss them when we are away so balancing the emotions of "I miss my parents" and "someone new" can be difficult. Taking a slow approach with the first goal of being in the same room, small offerings of treats or food from a distance, and long distance toys all allow for trust building while allowing the space our timid kitties need to feel safe.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
