Caring for animals is a huge part of my everyday life, and I’ve built my experience through years of hands-on pet care and active involvement in the rescue community 🥹
I regularly foster for local organizations, help with TNR/TNVR efforts, and assist with rehoming and transport. Over the past year alone, I’ve helped 50+ animals find safe, loving homes.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I try to make everything feel easy and stress-free for you and your cat 🐾 Before we start, I’ll schedule a meet and greet at your convenience, not only to meet you and your kitty (or kitties) to learn: • Your cat’s routine (feeding, litter, quirks) • Their personality (snuggly, shy, chaos goblin 😅) • Any meds or special care • Emergency contacts + vet info During visits, I: • Stick closely to their normal routine • Adjust to their comfort level (play, cuddles, or quiet check-ins) • Send updates + photos so you’re never wondering how they’re doing My goal is for your cat to feel like nothing changed, just a new friendly human stopping by! 💛
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is a huge priority for me, especially with cats who like to hide or try to sneak out 👀 I always: • Double-check doors, windows, and entry points before leaving • Watch closely during entry/exit (no escape artists on my watch 😅) • Keep routines consistent to avoid stress-related behavior • Follow all instructions exactly as given I’m also very mindful of: • Litter box habits (so I can catch any health concerns early) • Appetite and behavior changes • Making sure everything in the home is left clean and secure You’ll always get updates, so you know your cat (and your home) are safe and cared for!! 💛
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Shy and anxious cats are honestly my favorite to work with 🥹 Through fostering, TNR, and rescue work, I’ve handled everything from nervous kitties to full-on “spicy” ferals. I take a fear-free, no-pressure approach and let the cat set the pace. That can look like: • Sitting quietly so they can observe me first • Moving slow and keeping things calm and predictable • Respecting hiding (no forcing interaction ever) • Building trust over time instead of rushing it Some cats warm up, some don’t and that’s okay! My goal is always to keep them comfortable, safe, and stress-free in their own space 🐈⬛💛

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Charleston cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
