What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for about two weeks per year for 4-5 years. She has two chonky boys who have a pretty strict feeding routine, but are otherwise incredibly chill. I stayed at her home with them to keep them company at night
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting new cats, and getting pets from them, but the thing I love most is when the timid cats finally get comfortable and it’s like you’ve unlocked a part of their personality.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I usually ask before-hand for tips on things the parent knows the cats like or dislike. If we’re unsure, I have offered to come over before hand to meet them to see them while they’re feeling safe at home with their parent. If that doesn’t work out, I just use the new-person method of sitting down on the floor in a communal space, treats optional, and wait for them to come to me.

Jessica took care of my two cats for my husband and I when we went on several different vacations. She has always been dependable and treated Oliver and Pip like they were her own. Taking care of my two boys is definitely not an easy task. They like to eat multiple meals a day, treats, litter, being played with and getting lots of pets. Jessica handled it perfectly and went above and beyond in doing all of that plus she even made sure the floors were swept from their litter and I didn’t even request that to be done. Which was wonderful coming home from a long vacation and knowing that vacuuming or sweeping wasn’t first on the list of things to do. I am so thankful for Jessica and would trust her with my cats time and time again. You can not go wrong with hiring her as a cat sitter. Thank you Jessica! ⭐️10/10⭐️

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
