What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most is getting to know each cat’s unique personalities. Every cat has their own quirks (whether it be frequent zoomies, nonstop head-buts, or enjoying quiet companionship), and I love earning their trust and seeing them feel comfortable around me. It’s very rewarding to know I can give them care and affection while giving their owners peace of mind.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have one cat, Ellie, who is 11 years old and has some health problems. She has hyperthyroidism which requires consistent topical medication as well as a neurological disorder that requires additional medication. She’s my best friend and we’ve been together on our own for years. I have booked many cat sitters before but she doesn’t do well with them, so I’ve learned to understand and respect what she needs and makes her feel comfortable.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I focus on patience and creating a calm environment. I avoid rushing interactions and let the kitty decide when they’re ready to engaged. I’ll also use slow movements, a soft voice, and avoid overwhelming them with direct eye contact. Sometimes just sitting nearby and letting them get used to my presence helps build trust. I also pay close attention to their body language so I can adjust my approach. Over time, they usually begin to feel safe and comfortable as long as I respect their boundaries

Kate was amazing! My normal cat sitter had to cancel at the last minute, and I was a bit nervous booking someone without a meet & greet. I should not have been worried, Kate was so good with my cats, and they are not the easiest cats to sit for! She made sure one was given her pill daily, she cleaned up after an unfortunate accident, and she was very communicative. I would 100% recommend Kate!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
