I am so excited to have found this site, and to have moved to San Francisco! I am about a month into a new job, and had to leave my childhood cats when I moved, so getting to cat sit would be such a treat for me.
I have a ton of experience with cats, from the day I was born my family had 4 cats, and I’ve had at least 2 ever since. I started doing the primary care for them starting at age 12, so I have abou... Hi everyone!!
I am so excited to have found this site, and to have moved to San Francisco! I am about a month into a new job, and had to leave my childhood cats when I moved, so getting to cat sit would be such a treat for me.
I have a ton of experience with cats, from the day I was born my family had 4 cats, and I’ve had at least 2 ever since. I started doing the primary care for them starting at age 12, so I have about 12 years under my belt! I have experience giving oral and topical medication, and have had both shy and friendly cats, as well as kittens to cats in old age.
When meeting a new cat for sitting, I like to find out from you how your cat is the most comfortable meeting people, and let them come to me on their own time. It would truly be such a gift for me to get to spend time with your cat, and I hope to hear from you soon!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been caring for cats my entire life! Some of my earliest memories and photographs of me were holding my childhood cats, and I was given my own cat in 5th grade. I’ve essentially taken on the vast majority of my cats care since then, and it has been such a labor of love.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a cat named Jake at home! He is a huge personality, and for 13, his energy has somehow never died. His greatest joys in life are chasing my dog around the house, and grabbing entire pancakes off the table.
Are you usually available during holidays?
With my new job I won’t be able to make it home for too many holidays, and I would be thrilled to have the company while I’m missing my family and Jake!

Emily was so amazing! Our cat is generally very skittish, but when Emily came for the intro visit, Calliope walked right up to her and got some skritches! We almost fell off of our chairs, because we have NEVER seen that happen! During our time away, Emily was in regular contact with photos, and updates on how things were going, and when she would be there. She reached out with questions that she had, and this gave us confidence that she knew what she was doing. When we got home, Calliope was waiting, calm and ready to receive us. This was good, because we were starting to wonder if she would prefer to sneak off with Emily!!! We highly recommend Emily, and would use her a hundred times more for our SF Catsitting needs!!!

Emily was very thoughtful and thorough. We were traveling for about a week and had a pretty complicated visit schedule for her. She was totally on top of it and helped me figure out the best schedule to give our cat the most time with her. Our cat loved her! She was able to give ear drops and ear cleaning. She left our home very clean. We would happily hire her again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $38.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
