I also have previous medical training which has helped me in taking care of my own animals. I'm very intuitive when it comes to animals and have always had a special bond with animals of all kinds. I've never met an animal that didn't warm up to me or immediately like me... Hi, I'm Diane and I have 20+ years experience being a mom to both human children and all kinds of animals from hamsters, chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, bearded dragons and of course dogs and cats. I have a special needs cat Kleo, that has an intestinal cancer. I was told she wouldn't live very long but after changing vets, changing her diet and a daily medication protocol, she's still thriving and happy.
I also have previous medical training which has helped me in taking care of my own animals. I'm very intuitive when it comes to animals and have always had a special bond with animals of all kinds. I've never met an animal that didn't warm up to me or immediately like me. I have a calm demeanor they seem to vibe with and enjoy being around.
Animals are special and have a language not everyone can tune into, like their body language and social cues when they interact with other animals or humans. You can immediately see when they don't like something or someone. I use all this data I collect from them to understand their needs and wants so they will be comfortable and cared for while you're away.
Rest assured they will be in capable, loving hands while you're on your business trip, or traveling the world. I look forward to meeting you and your amazing cat!
NOTE: If your cat needs insulin injections, please book a minimum of 45 minute visits. 20 minutes doesn't cover the amount of time to take a glucose reading, give injections, feed and play with the cats. Thank you for your understanding 😻

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've done lots of cat sitting previously for friends and family and just started doing this as my full-time job! I love meeting new people and especially new cats! 😻
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats are just the coolest! They're all so different with their own needs and likes and dislikes and I enjoy getting to know them all and figuring out what makes them tick and what makes them happy.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats I rescued, Kleo who is a Lynx-point Siamese with special needs that requires medication daily and injections once per week, she's my oldest cat at age 12. She is what we call a velcro cat. She wants to be near you at all times and loves to climb all over me! Then we have Daenerys (AKA: Boo-Boo) who is a Black domestic shorthair, she's super shy and hides when new people come to the house. She freaks out with loud noises or changes in her environment. But she is the sweetest girl and loves pets and cuddles if she trusts you. She's 6 years old. Also around 6 years old is Noel who showed up on our doorstep in December in 2018 (hence the name Noel) she's a grey long haired Tabby. We mostly call her Meow-Meow because she's extremely talkative! Also extremely adorable.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Good communication is key, that let's you know someone is both responsive and responsible. A good cat sitter should have an organized calendar and know what their availability is and have some flexibility worked into their schedule to fit in last minute requests.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I typically like to meet a week before to meet you and your cats before the actual sitting takes place. I like to ask a lot of questions, take notes and set mutual expectations for what will be needed for the duration of the sitting. Also to get any keys needed and any pertinent info for entry and lockup of your house.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I have cats myself, so always making sure windows and doors are secured to avoid escape artists from having an outdoor adventure! Also making sure they're aren't items in the house they could hurt themselves on it get into trouble with if it peaks their curiosity.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love a good cat wand with a feather on the end. Those are so fun to get cats into a hunting mode and get their brains engaged in an interactive puzzle of how to catch it!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a very timid cat myself so I understand their sensitivity quite well. Fortunately I'm a very calm and quiet person to begin with and they remind well to that. You can't force shy cats to engage with you. Quiet presence, meeting them at the level they are comfortable with is the best approach. Slowly, over time they do warm up but it takes the right person with the right energy to make them feel secure, confident in who you are and to start developing trust.

Diane was so wonderful with my cat—I don’t even know where to begin. My senior cat has lymphoma and needs chemo and multiple meds with twice a day visits. I usually never leave on chemo day, but I had to this time and was trying to find someone with experience. Diane shared that she has a very similar cat that needed chemo before too. She was able to give it with no issues. One time, she messaged me because my cat was acting strangely and appeared short of breath. Unfortunately, I didn’t see her message until much later, but found out she stayed extra just to make sure my cat was ok, and I was so touched. I felt really reassured with her updates and she also knows a lot of little tips and tricks to make your fur baby more comfortable when you’re away. Highly recommend and will book again. Thank you so much!

This is the first time that I asked Diane to take care of cats, I have to say it’s a good experience. My cats love Diane as well. One of the cats has diabetes, and Diane helps him measure his blood sugar and inject insulin when I am not at home, she is a careful person. What surprised me was that when I got home, the house was clean and tidy. In the future, I will still ask Diane to help take care of my cats when needed.

Diane is a true professional. She’s thoughtful, reliable, responsive, consistent, and pretty much every other quality you’d include on your ‘ideal cat sitter’ wishlist! Our four anxious kitties can be a handful even for the two of us, but Diane kept them well cared-for in our absence — she even managed to win over our notoriously skittish calico in record time! I especially appreciated Diane’s detailed and timely communications; she really put in the effort to keep me informed and up-to-date so I could enjoy my time away without worrying about our girls.

Once again, Diane was great. We had to leave town unexpectedly for a funeral just days before Christmas and didn’t think we’d be able to find a sitter. Diane responded quickly and with the same exceptional care — not an easy task for four needy cats! Her thoughtful updates gave us peace of mind; I don’t think the cats even missed us!

Diane did a great job taking care of our beloved kitty, Bagheera. She fed and cared for him, played with him (and sent us photos) and even spent extra time with him. I couldn't have asked for a better sitter--plus she lives in our neighborhood!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Campbell cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $39.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!

Where do I begin? I already had anxiety about leaving my babies for the weekend. Then my complex threw a monkey wrench into my plans, an electrical panel change out on the day I was leaving. Two years ago I lost a cat due to a electrial fire at a different complex. I came so close to canceling my whole trip. Diane was able to accommodate my extra day add-on, due to this change out. I had to let my anxiety go, part of moving forward and trust the sweet, caring lady I met at the meet and greet! I so appreciated that Diane took the extra steps to send me messages daily! My babies were very well taken care of! Highly recommend, Diane!!!

My cats are very shy so Diane hardly saw them, but I was reassured that she was there to see that they were eating/drinking and using their litter boxes. Everything was in order when I got home and the cats were happy to see me, so job well done.
