Yes, I do. I have two cats named Smokey, who is 4 years old, and Spooky, who is 8 months old. Caring for them has given me a deep understanding of daily routines, different personalities, and how important consistency and comfort are for cats to feel secure.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I take safety and respect for your home very seriously. I carefully follow all instructions provided and make sure feeding, litter care, and any special routines are done exactly as requested. I am very mindful of keeping doors, windows, and entry points secure at all times during visits. I also stay observant of each cat’s behavior so I can quickly notice anything out of the ordinary. After each visit, I provide clear and timely updates so you feel confident your cat and home are in good hands.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I approach timid or anxious cats with patience, calm energy, and respect for their boundaries. I never force interaction and instead allow them to set the pace entirely. Many shy cats feel safest with quiet presence and consistency, so I focus on being calm, predictable, and nonintrusive. Over time, I let trust build naturally and make sure they feel secure without pressure. My goal is always to help them feel safe and comfortable in their own space while you are away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fremont cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $38.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Caitlyn is a thoughtful, caring, and thorough cat sitter. She takes the time to learn each cat’s personality to determine how best to care for them. My cat is a wild creature- he has loads of energy and needs to be exhausted. However, he has to be played with in a certain way otherwise he isn't interested. He likes toys to seem as if they are prey hiding around a corner. Caitlyn picked up on that immediately. I was thrilled to receive photos of her playing with him and that he was tired by bed time. Caitlyn is also extremely responsible, has great communication skills and is very courteous. I was updated daily on how my guy was doing. I received multiple photos and videos, saw the litter be taken out, water changed, food swapped, and a happy cat. Thanks again Caitlyn :)
