What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I really enjoy the few cats I work with even then they have been difficult cats are very mature and come around in their own time.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy the bond with the cat that develops over time! Each cat is so unique and some have so much personality. I feel like a lot of cats are very smart and just have a good sense of humor.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting experience was when my neighbors cat “moonshine” the pretty ragdoll starting to sleep on top of me. She is very soft and falls asleep fast with a head rub.

My two cats are very shy and she was extremely patient, and gentle when interacting with them. Sam kept us updated and sent pictures with every visit and worked around our needs as best as she could.

Sam was such an amazing and compassionate caretaker for Benji! From our first meet and greet, she was professional and extremely personable- she left such a good impression I didn’t even think twice about booking her! I could tell Sam really loves cats and her attention to detail was much appreciated! She sent me photos and FaceTimed me during the trip and communicated very well during my trip! I felt really good knowing Benji was in good hands! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! it was my first time using an app like this and Sam made the experience so so positive ! :)

From our first meet and greet, she was extremely professional and kind and left such a good impression I didn’t even question weather I was going to choose her for my cat! Sam was very attentive, sent me pictures during my trip and was very flexible and communicative! I can tell she really loves animals and understood the needs of cats very well! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Hawthorne cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
