I’ve been trusted to care for all types of cats in my time... Hello fellow cat lovers! Cats have been a part of life from the very beginning. From my childhood cat who waited for me at the end of the block to walk me home from school, to my current kitty, who has the most enthusiastic personality that completes my little family. Cats provide us with so much joy and entertainment!
I have experience with all types of cats: shy, playful, finicky, skittish. I love getting to know each and every one of their temperaments and personalities. Additionally I’ve dealt with cats needing oral and ear medications.
I’ve been trusted to care for all types of cats in my time. Whether it’s a quick pop-in for an evening, or week long vacations where I get a chance to really get to know the cat. I love how independent cats are, and how you need to earn their trust. I respect that and always have patience when I’m in their space.
I’m very self-aware and cognizant of all details when I’m sitting. Paying close attend to any behavior changes, and making sure they feel safe in their space.
In my personal life I’m a freelance bookkeeper, so I appreciate structure and balance, and I apply that to my sitting jobs to ensure there’s minimal disruption to their routine. I look forward to earning your trust and getting to know your fur babies!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love building a relationship and trust with the cat. Being that cats are very independent and protective of their space, it feels special when they let me in. I know I’ve earned that trust when I get head bumps from them, or when when rub up against my leg.
What is your favorite cat toy?
There’s a bird toy that chirps and has life-like feathers. It activates the cats natural instinct to hunt. My cat loves throwing this bird around and “hunting” it!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I never pressure or force myself in their space. I be present and use calming voices. I’ll sometimes sit on the floor and use an assuring voice, and gently lift my hand to see if they’re interested in sniffing it. Sometimes it take minutes, other times it could take a few days for them to come out and trust me. Either way, I’m patient with it and never force their trust.

Rebekah has taken care of my six cats for two- 11 day vacations now and she's done an amazing job and gone above and beyond. She provided me with daily updates and more importantly really seems to care about my "kids", making sure that they got the correct amount of food, some treats, and human exposure/play time. She communicates well and is reliable. I will be using her for my next vacation as well. Thankful to have found her!

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Huntington Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
