My 2 cats are named:
Torta (she’s my sweet little Tortie)
Mako (he’s my handsome gray Tabbie)
My grandcat is named Chicago. She is a Tabico with little White Sox. Chicago lives with my daughter, but comes over often to hang out with her litter mates (Torta and Mako). I also FaceTime her daily.
I love to travel, but I get nervous about leaving the care of my furkids to just anyone. I am very particular about making sure that my family is cared for while I am away.
As a fellow cat mom, I will make sure your babies are just as cared for and looked after as if they were my own... Hi there! I am a mom to 2 furkids, 1 grandcat and 2 human kids. I’ve had cats since I was a kid and have plenty of experience caring for them.

As a fellow cat mom, I will make sure your babies are just as cared for and looked after as if they were my own. This includes making sure they have;
-clean bowls with fresh water and food.
-clean litter boxes.
-playtime and loving pets.
-a friendly voice telling them that their family loves and misses them.
-a safe environment to ensure there aren’t any hazards that could get them into trouble (string and feather toys are stored when not in use, cabinets/closets/windows/doors are closed to ensure your kids are only where they are allowed).
-pictures and updates on your babies while you are away.
I feel travel is important, whether it be for leisure, work or family. I want to help ease the stress and give you peace of mind that your babies are in good hands.
I am trustworthy, honest, respectful and kind. Your home is yours and your babies’ sanctuary. I want to maintain that peace for everyone.
I know that kitties miss their family members when they are away. I will reassure them that they are so loved and missed. I will be respectful of their space and never want to scare or startle them.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will pick up and put away any toys that could be chewed through or ingested (strings/feathers/etc.). Windows/doors/cabinets/closets will be closed, unless your baby is allowed in those areas of the house. People food will be off-limits to your baby, unless it is food specifically for them (boiled chicken/rice/pumpkin/etc.) Entering and exiting the home will be done with care and caution. I will always be sure to open and close doors in a way that your baby doesn’t try to make a run for it. I am there to care for your cats and their home. This means caring for them and respecting all of your privacy and boundaries. If a door or window is intentionally closed when I first enter a home, it will remain closed unless I am asked to enter or open it.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I don’t typically travel around the holidays, so I am generally available should you need a sitter. Around noisy holidays (4th of July and New Year’s Eve), I would ask that we keep the windows closed and maybe a TV or some music on to help dampen the loud fireworks. If we can’t keep the windows closed due to air flow or circulation, I would make sure to give your furkids some extra reassurance or treats to let them know they are safe.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite toys come from Chris The Cat. They make wool mice that my cats absolutely love! The mice can be attached to a rod that allows cats to run, jump and catch it. I also love playing fetch with my cats with plastic springs and felt or wool balls.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will give them time and space. I would get on the floor to make myself less intimidating and speak softly to them. I will slowly offer my open hand to allow them to smell me. I would treat them with respect. Sometimes strangers are scary to cats, and that’s okay. I will allow them to approach me on their terms. I live by the Golden Rule: Treat people (and animals) the way you would want to be treated. This includes allowing shy or anxious babies to have their space. I would still do my best to get down to their level at a comfortable distance to speak to them softly and with reassurance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
