As a proud cat dad to 10 amazing kitties—including one with cerebellar hypoplasia and asthma—I bring years of hands-on experience with cats of all temperaments and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering a variety of medications, including pills, liquid meds, and inhalers, and always do so with patience and care.
I treat all cats like family because to me, they are family. My wife and I have chosen to raise our feline crew as our children, and that love and dedication carries over into my cat sitting. I’m calm, gentle, and focused on creating a stress-free, loving environment during each visit.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for friends and family for over 5 years, caring for cats of all ages, temperaments, and needs.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats have their own unique personalities, and I love getting to know them one-on-one. It’s an honor to care for someone’s furry family.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite cat sitting experiences was with two senior sister cats who were known for being very independent and cautious around new people. I gave them space at first and let them come to me on their terms. By the second visit, they were waiting for me at the door, eager for treats and brush time. It was such a great feeling to earn their trust and see their personalities shine through. Building that kind of bond—especially with more reserved cats—is one of the most rewarding parts of cat sitting for me.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I live with 10 wonderful cats, each with their own unique personality. I have seniors,kitttens and special needs cats including one with cerebellar hypoplasia and asthma. Their names are Chinbi, Mimi, Haru, Lulu, Emmie, Buffy, Nori, Casey, Ember, and Zoey. They’re not just pets they’re my babies. My experience caring for such a diverse group has given me a deep understanding of feline behavior, medical care, and how to make each cat feel safe, seen, and loved.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start by learning everything I can about your cat and their routine. I want to know what makes them happy, what comforts them, what to watch for, and how you like things done. During the first visit , I give your cat space, speak softly, and let then approach on their terms. I always follow your care instructions closely and check in with thoughtful updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. My goal is to make the process easy and stess-free for both you and your cat.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I take a very patient and respectful approach, always prioritizing the cat’s boundaries and comfort. I avoid sudden movements or loud sounds, get low to the ground, and speak softly to creat a calm environment. I let them sniff my hand and decide if or when they want to engage. If a cat prefers space, I honor that and quietly stay nearby so they know they’re not alone. I’ve cared for many anxious or shy cats, and I understand that trust takes time. I’m here to support them in whatever way makes them feel most safe.

Joseph was amazing at catsitting our two cats!! He was able to get one of them to play which was quite the pleasant surprise! We’re so happy our younger cat made a friend while we were out of town. Joseph followed all of our requests and took care of our kitties in the most respectful way. Joseph is definitely a cat sitter you can trust wholeheartedly. we really appreciated seeing the videos of our cat playing as well while we were gone!! Our two boys were perfectly taken care of and we couldn’t be more happy about Joseph’s work. 👏😊

We are so grateful to have found Joseph to help care for our kitties while we were on vacation. From the start, he was very responsive, answering all of our questions, listening to our requests and requirements for taking care of our two cats. He sent both photos and videos of the time he spent with them, which were really nice to receive. One of our cats is much more shy to strangers and he took our feedback about what he could try to win her over, which was great for him to do. He was very easy to work with and talk to and we felt safe working with him. We hope that we can continue to work with him in the future, especially now since our kitties are familiar with him. If we could give him more stars, we absolutely would!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

La Habra cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

There are very few people I would trust my two cats with. I don't have to worry when Joe comes over because he doesn't just refill food and water. He'll actually spend time with my cats and play with them. He'll look at my litter robot and make sure it's functioning properly. He's super trustworthy and the vibe he gives off makes me cats trust him, too (which is special).

One of my cats requires gabapentin, and I was nervous about leaving her in someone else’s hands. Joseph immediately put me at ease.
