What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been petting sitting for 20+ years! It all started when I began working at an animal shelter in Lancaster, PA. I worked exclusively in the Cat Adoption Center, where I worked to medically vet and adopt out our shelter cats. This is where I met cat parents who needed a sitter w cat experience they could trust and began accepting cat sitting jobs. Since then, I’ve done everything from simple stop-ins to multiple weeks of full-time cat sitting in a mountain cabin. I’ve sat for young cats, old cats, handicapped cats, and cranky cats - and I’ve loved them ALL! I love being around cats and spending time with them, so cat sitting is the perfect way for me to do that!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently have 3 adult cats: Inky (13+), Sweet Potato (11+), and Clark (8+). All were found outside doing “cat stuff” and now live 100% indoors.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I understand that cats are not dogs, which means cats have opinions on “how things outta be” and I respect that. A timid or anxious cat should not be pressured by anyone to be anything other than what they are and their space should always be respected. If a cat client is timid or anxious, I will speak to them softly, give them space, make sure their needs are met, and ensure that my actions in their home do not exacerbate their anxiety or fear. I often find that letting a cat have time to adjust to my presence w/out pressure reduces their feelings of anxiety and makes them more comfortable.

Christina cares A LOT about cats. They are her sidekicks, friends, and familiars. She’s never met a cat she didn’t like and she’ll never shy away from the chance to make a nervous cat more comfortable. Christina is a pleasant person to interact with, a great communicator, and one of her greatest joys is just being in a room w/ a cat.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
