What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Over 7 years in PROFESSIONAL cat-specific shelters and kennels and lifetime of learning about felines. Officially certified as Fear Free by the Fear Free Organization. I have provided care both in and out of home, including hundreds of cats with unique dietary and medical requirements.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Nothing on earth makes me happier than spending time with cats of any type. Building trust with aggressive or shy cats in deeply rewarding. Loving on friendly cats is the best part of any day. Taking care of the sick or disabled kitties and showing them how much they are loved is the best feeling on the planet. I feel it takes the right person to take the time to allow a cat to tell ME who THEY are, and not to impose what I want on them.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently have two littermates adopted from Happy Cats Haven which I ended up also volunteering at. I have a very round Manx named Pancake with the tailess Manx gene (she has a little bobtail) and a fluffy Domestic Long Hair brother named Pickle. They're the light of my life.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

In my significant experience working with cats of all kinds, I've always found it best to assume most cats will try to do the dumbest possible thing at any moment, be it jumping off something unsafe, darting through a door, fighting with a sibling, eating something poisonous, etc. I will always do what's is needed to make sure the environment is cat-safe and cat-friendly. Every cat craves chaos and once you are willing to recognize that, it's much easier to plan for and prevent. ❤️

Are you usually available during holidays?

I'll almost make space for the kitties! Hanging out with cats is the best part of my day and holidays are no different.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Without question: the Cat Dancer. It's the $4 toy with little cardboard tubes around a springy wire. Not only does the wire cause it to bounce around like a bug (even if you hold still) but both sides of the toy can be used so you can dial in the level of stimulation. The movement of the toy is so fun that you can even close the toy in a drawer and the kitties will play with it by themselves! Ultimately, cats just love trash and it's basically a toy made of trash so it's perfect 👍😊

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
