What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been sitting for about a year for friends and have cared for cats of all ages and personalities! From playful kittens to shy seniors; I’m comfortable giving meds, scooping litter, and making sure each cat feels loved and safe while their family is away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love building trust with each cat and seeing their really unique personalities come out. It’s very rewarding when a shy kitty finally curls up next to me or wants to play. Making sure cats feel comfortable in their own home makes every visit special to me.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite reservation was caring for two sweet cats who were total opposites... one was playful and outgoing, the other was shy and loved to nap in the closet hiding away. By the second day. the shy one was purring and demanding pets while lying next to me. It was such a heartwarming moment that reminded me of why I love doing this so much!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one spoiled cat named Kathy and plan to adopt more once I find a bigger apartment! I love giving cats the cozy, happy life they deserve... the more paws and purrs, the better in my home!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I always tell cat owners to look for a sitter who communicates clearly, asks thoughtful questions about your cat’s routine, and genuinely cares about keeping your kitty happy and stress-free. It’s important to pick someone who will treat your cat and home with the same care they’d give to their own.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

For every new client, I like to start with a "meet-and-greet" to learn all about their cat’s personality, routine, favorite toys, and any special needs they have. I always take detailed notes, so I can stick closely to their schedule. I also make sure we’re on the same page about updates and photos, so pet parents feel at ease while they’re away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always double-check doors and windows (make sure everything is cat proofed), follow the feeding and medication instructions exactly, and watch for any signs that a cat isn’t feeling well. I stay in close touch with pet parents if anything seems unusual and have emergency contacts ready just in case. My top priority is that every cat stays safe and comfortable in their own home.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I know holidays are a busy time for travel, so I’m happy to help families enjoy their trips worry free by keeping their cats cozy and cared for at home!

What is your favorite cat toy?

Would have to be feather wand toys. They're the best for cat entertainment they mimic prey, trigger natural hunting instincts, and give your cat a safe outlet to pounce, chase, and leap. Perfect for bonding and exercise, they leave even energetic cats happily worn out!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have patience, give them space, check their body language. Movement is also very important for anxious cats. I just maintain a gentle and calm approach.
