Cats hold a very special place in my heart. My dad has five cats, so being around cats and their unique personalities has always felt natural and familiar to me... Hi, Iām Feaba Knox, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around pets, and that love has stayed with me through every stage of life. I am trained as a veterinarian and have experience working with both small and large animals, which has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, comfort, and overall wellbeing.
Cats hold a very special place in my heart. My dad has five cats, so being around cats and their unique personalities has always felt natural and familiar to me. My husband and I are also hoping to adopt two kittens soon, which makes this work feel even closer to my heart.
As a sitter, I bring a calm, gentle, and loving presence. I understand that each cat is different. Some love attention and play, while others need patience, quiet, and space to warm up. I take time to understand their personality and routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you are away. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who is not only dependable, but also gentle, observant, and patient with cats. Every cat has a different personality, so it is important to choose a sitter who respects their routine, notices small changes in behavior, and truly cares about their comfort. I also think clear communication matters a lot. A good sitter should provide thoughtful updates and help you feel at ease while you are away. For me, trust, kindness, and attention to detail make all the difference.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am usually available during holidays, especially with advance notice. I always appreciate knowing ahead of time so I can plan well and be as flexible as possible. I enjoy staying active and spending time in nature, so when I am not working, I usually love going on hikes or being outdoors. That also means I am happy to arrange my schedule around holiday bookings whenever I can.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Timid or anxious cats need patience, gentleness, and respect for their space. With my veterinary background, I have learned that calm energy and careful observation go a long way in helping cats feel safe. I never force interaction. Instead, I let them approach in their own time, while keeping their routine as consistent and peaceful as possible. I pay close attention to body language, behavior, and comfort so I can respond in a way that helps build trust and reduce stress.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
