Growing up, our house was the one that fed every stray, and we even kept a number of them over the years. In fact, every cat I’ve ever had was brought in as a stray!
As of right now I don’t have any pets of my own, but I’m hoping to change that in the near future. Really, I’m just waiting for the universe to drop another stray on my doorstep... I’ve always loved cats, and I’m just thrilled at the idea of getting to meet everyone’s wonderful pet pals! I’m the one my friends and family call when they need a reliable, loving, and careful sitter, so bringing those skills to Meowtel seemed like the natural choice!

As of right now I don’t have any pets of my own, but I’m hoping to change that in the near future. Really, I’m just waiting for the universe to drop another stray on my doorstep. I did find a mama and her kittens early in 2025, and I’m happy to report that I got everyone fixed and adopted after fostering them for a few months. I intend to use my earnings here to TNR and foster as many stray cats as possible. In fact, I have a tuxedo kitten available for adoption right now!
My last cat had some special needs, as are some of the cats I regularly care for, so I’m very experienced in specialty diets and feeding schedules, as well as administering various medications, including liquid meds, pills, and inhalers.
My notifications for the app are always on, and I try to respond to booking inquiries and questions ASAP.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for friends and family for about 13 years, but I’m a lifelong cat parent, so your feline friend is in good hands with me!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love learning about a cat’s quirks! They do such silly little things that are individual to them, and I think that’s just the most charming thing ever!
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available 24/7, 365! I run my own business, so I’m always available to hang out with your wonderful cat!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let them lead me on how they want to be interacted with. Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting on the floor and letting them smell me for a bit, other times they might need a little treat as motivation. I find that letting them set the speed does wonders for their confidence!

My boys had a wonderful time with Suzanne. She was attentive and very communicative. and such great pictures of the boys while I was gone! sadly Franklin did keep Suzanne up at night being a little lost and lonely, and Suzanne even slept on the downstairs couch to help him feel better! She really gives 110%!

Suzanne is an amazing sitter. First of all I had to book her sort of last minute because of the cancellation. She was immediately responsive and made me feel at ease about a last second reservation. Throughout the duration of my vacation, she was highly communicative and sent lots of pictures which I really enjoyed while I was away. She also noticed a few things around the house that I left unattended like coffee in the pot and she also cleaned the top of my stove! There were just so many little touches that she did a little extras that made coming home so smooth and I really really appreciate her.

suzanne is the BEST sitter I've ever had. she communicates above and beyond and sends numerous pics every visit. some of them were beautiful too 😍. the updates she gives are specific and really shows she actually got to know my pets. they weren't simply status updates but descriptive and shows how much she loved and understands cats. she watched my kitties during Christmas and an insane storm. she made sure my kitties were taken care of as if they were her own. even senior kitties and scared/shy cats. can't recommend enough.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Santa Monica cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
