If you're looking for someone who loves cats (hopefully) just as much as you do, look no further! I have had at least one cat by my side quite literally ever since my birth. That's the "lifetime of experience" guarantee. Many cats I've had throughout my life have had medical necessities, so I'm comfortable administering topical ointments, eye- or eardrops, as well as any oral medications to any cats that may need them. Now that I've moved out, I only have two kitties, but I came from a household that had twelve... Hello, Raleigh! I am relatively new in town but happy to be here. I moved here all the way from southern California in May 2024.

A visit from me will entail a description of what your kitties and I got up to and what I cleaned and refilled while I was there, as well as photos and/or videos of everything! I can bring in your mail, take out your trash, water plants, or whatever else if you'd like me to-- just say the word.
If you'd like to know a little more about me, I am a creative type. I write, draw, sing, knit, and play piano. When I'm not doing those, I'm cooking, rock climbing, playing video games, going on walks, reading both print and comic books, or hiking. I studied Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and I'm currently doing my pre-nursing courses at Wake Tech!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Honestly, this is a hard question to answer, because I've been catsitting for THAT long. I've been doing so on Meowtel since late 2022, though. In total, if I had to make an estimate, I'd probably say I've been catsitting fairly regularly for... around ten years or so?
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I just LOVE cats. Cats are my favorite animal and have been since before I even understood the concept of favorites, I'm sure. I have never not had at least one cat in my life. So I truly mean it when I say nothing brings me greater joy than just meeting new cats and learning their different personalities and quirks. It makes me so happy when I can make cats happy the way they make me happy!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I could never pick favorites. My favorite is any reservation I'm at at the moment!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one cat right now, but I'm sure more are in my future. I adopted Haebi (pronounced "Heybee") from a shelter after the loss of my soul cat Snubby. He's been such a good companion. He is a little black kitty with orange-brown highlights in the sun! Before moving out, I came from a twelve-cat household and I miss them all to bits and pieces. I have since added a new friend! Her name is Koara (named because she is gray with a dark nose) and she is tiny, at only seven pounds. She and Haebi became fast friends which I couldn't be happier about.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always, always, always double- and now TRIPLE-check every entry into the home is locked. When entering the home, my first course of action is to lock the door, then lay eyes on every cat; when leaving, I do the same in reverse, then double- and triple-check everything is locked correctly. I will often lock both the top and bottom locks if that is an option for extra security.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Haebi is strange, and he really likes flat toys. I'm talking folded-up receipt paper. He also loves noisy toys, like crinkle ones, and a ball with a bell in it.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My previous cat was particularly timid and anxious, so I have a lot of experience with it because of that. When meeting new anxious kitties I always let them engage with me to their comfort level. I never push any limits or boundaries and stay quietly and calmly in their space while they get used to me being in it. My go-to on the first meeting is usually getting low to the ground and holding out a finger for them to sniff if they would like. My methods have made it so that I've become friendly with many cats that are scared of new people, something which I'm very proud to say!

I booked Sammy for the first time over the holiday break, and she was AWESOME!! I'm a fairly anxious owner, and I think she picked up on that because she sent very detailed summaries of her visits every day and included lots of photos. I also had a lot of specific requests around the house, and she handled it all flawlessly. She was attentive, professional, and very sweet and kind. Two of my cats are very shy, and I was surprised Sammy got them to interact with her and that she even got to cuddle/pet one of them by the end! I would highly recommend Sammy for your booking!

Sammy was very nice and easy to work with. This was my first time leaving my cats for longer than a weekend, so I was really nervous on how my cats would do for almost a week alone. Sammy did a great job with my nervous cats, and would update me on everything she did during each visit and how my cats behaved towards her each time. She seemed genuinely happy when my cats would act more comfortable and start to warm up to her, which just made me feel even more comfortable about having left them in her care. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Raleigh cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

I recently took a five day trip out of town and this was my first time having Sammy take care of my cat Callie. Sammy is awesome! She did a wonderful job taking care of my Callie Cat and her love of cats shows in how she interacted with my cat and in the detailed way that she cared for her. I felt so comfortable right away at the meet and greet with Sammy and Callie warmed right up to her as well, right from the beginning. Sammy’s care of my cat definitely is 5 star ⭐️ worthy! Samantha was amazing! It was my first time using the ap so I was a bit nervous. However after meeting Samantha at the meet and greet I could tell she was an attentive "cat person" and my cats took to her. I have two elderly cats, one who required a pill everyday via a pet piller and the other required lots of extra water. She made sure to take care of their needs. My third cat is super shy and hides from everyone. After a few days she actually out to say hello to Samantha. That speaks volumes! I highly recommend her.
