What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Honestly, this is a hard question to answer, because I've been catsitting for THAT long. I've been doing so on Meowtel since late 2022, though. In total, if I had to make an estimate, I'd probably say I've been catsitting fairly regularly for... around ten years or so?

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I just LOVE cats. Cats are my favorite animal and have been since before I even understood the concept of favorites, I'm sure. I have never not had at least one cat in my life. So I truly mean it when I say nothing brings me greater joy than just meeting new cats and learning their different personalities and quirks. It makes me so happy when I can make cats happy the way they make me happy!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one little guy myself. His name is Snowball, but I call him Snubby. I have no idea where I got the nickname, but it stuck. He is a silver bobtail and I call him my son. I've had him since I was eight years old, so he's actually a senior cat! But-- I'm very lucky to report-- he still acts like a kitten, and is as healthy as one! Before moving out, I came from a twelve-cat household and I miss them all to bits and pieces.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Snubby's favorites are anything sphere-shaped! He has some that look like sushi and one that looks like a ladybug, both of which I love. My favorite is maybe a laser pointer. Lots of entertainment with that one.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My cat IS particularly timid and anxious! I have a lot of experience with it because of that, but when meeting new anxious kitties I always let them engage with me to their comfort level. I never push any limits or boundaries and stay quietly and calmly in their space while they get used to me being in it. My go-to on the first meeting is usually getting low to the ground and holding out a finger for them to sniff if they would like. My methods have made it so that I've become friendly with many cats that are scared of new people, something which I'm very proud to say!

This was my first time with Samantha and she was great. One of my cats is shy and she was able to get him to eat. Both of my cats require medication and she was able to follow all my instructions.

Samantha was amazing! It was my first time using the ap so I was a bit nervous. However after meeting Samantha at the meet and greet I could tell she was an attentive "cat person" and my cats took to her. I have two elderly cats, one who required a pill everyday via a pet piller and the other required lots of extra water. She made sure to take care of their needs. My third cat is super shy and hides from everyone. After a few days she actually out to say hello to Samantha. That speaks volumes! I highly recommend her.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
