What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy the feeling of gaining a cat’s trust and having them feel comfortable around me. Even if the cat isn’t interacting with me, they make very good company when they are in the same room.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My cats are named Junie and Marnie. Junie is social and loves being rubbed and scratched. She also loves sitting on my laptop or my book when she wants attention. Marnie is more recently adopted and is still getting comfortable in the house. She is not quite as social but she makes a lot of noise when it’s time for food.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I take note of all the doors and windows and make sure they are secured. Since it is not my home, I don’t use anything I have been authorized to, so nothing dangerous gets interacted with. I also find out from the owners beforehand what behaviors the cats have and/or what parts of the house may be cause for concern and what to watch out for (cat likes to eat things, garage door doesn’t close well, cat tries to scratch furniture, etc.)

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
