My name is Annie & I’ve been working, volunteering and caring for animals for over 24 years. Cats are special creatures with their own set of unique needs & behaviors, and we are so fortunate to have them in our lives.
I work locally as a veterinary assistant and have experience medicating & caring for cats with health conditions, cuddly cats, cats that want their space and a range in between. I provide attentive care and I’m a stickler for details, following your instructions to the letter. I’m reliable, a great communicator & can send excellent pictures while you are away.
I have two wonderful kitties of my own and strive to deliver the care I want for them when I go away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for the past 15 years. I’ve fostered over 50 cats and kittens for various shelters and rescues including neonatal, bottle babies and nursing moms.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love cats! I love meeting new cats and their humans and providing excellent care. I’m a cat parent myself and I know how important piece of mind is when I’m away, knowing they are getting good care. Details like knowing their names and their likes and dislikes is important to me in a cat sitter so I strive to provide that.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
A male cat named Bubble. He took a little while to come out of his shell but then he was so enthusiastic about all our activities, playing with his feather wands, getting a few minutes to chow on cat grass, modeling for pictures for his mom. He was so photogenic, such a handsome and sweet boy.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two awesome kitties named Melvin and Valerie. They were both adopted from the shelter which is very important to me.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would try to plan a short trip and use that as a test run for a new sitter.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
First we discuss dates and times needed. Then they tell me about their kitties personalities, likes and dislikes and the schedule/list of caretaking tasks they want me to follow. After they book we’ll set up a meet & greet so they can show me everything in person, as well as meeting the kitties! I’ll write it all down and confirm all the details.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I’m very careful about entry and exit. I try to make sure I lay eyes on each cat to visually confirm everything is ok. This can be challenging with shy cats but I feel it’s very important. I have 20 years of experience living in LA so handling keys, security systems and alarms, safety and making sure everything is locked and secure is something I pay very close attention too.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes I’m available during the holidays. I get very busy during November, December and January.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Rattle balls! I also like feather wands, rattle mice and catnip scratchers.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’m fear free certified so I adhere to the core concepts. Considerate approach, gentle control and touch gradient if needed.

Annie was my first experience in this app. It was easy to make a reservation. Annie was really flexible with my chaotic schedule in coming over to do our meet and greet. She took notes on what my cat needed for his care. She sent me the funniest pictures of him while she was looking after him. I really felt like he was well taken care of while I was gone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Tujunga cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
