What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Iā€™ve been a professional caregiver since 2019, so I have years of experience looking after others and following specific routines. Over the years, Iā€™ve cared for all kinds of cats, from high-energy kittens to seniors who just need a quiet companion. My background has made me really detail-oriented, so Iā€™m great at sticking to feeding schedules and making sure everything stays clean. Iā€™m also very observant of a catā€™s behavior to make sure they feel totally safe and comfortable while their owners are away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I really love getting to know each catā€™s unique personality. Itā€™s so rewarding to earn the trust of a shy cat or spend time playing with one that has a ton of energy. I also enjoy being able to give owners peace of mind. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets, so I love being the person who can step in, provide great care, and send over updates and photos so the owner doesn't have to worry at all.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite reservation was watching a really shy cat that usually hid from everyone. Their owner was worried he wouldn't come out at all, but by the second day, I just sat quietly on the floor and he eventually came over to sit in my lap. It felt so good to earn his trust and be able to send the owner a photo of us hanging out. It really showed me how much a little patience and consistency goes a long way with cats

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
