What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been caring for cats my entire life and have over five years of active, hands-on experience managing their daily care. I am highly comfortable with all aspects of sitting, including multi-cat households. At one point, I independently managed the care, feeding, and socialization of five cats at the same time. This lifelong background gives me a natural understanding of feline behavior, safety, and routines, making me a highly reliable and attentive sitter.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I have loved cats my entire life. When I was little, I used to read books about how to properly take care of them, so my passion for their well-being runs deep. What I enjoy most about cat sitting is earning a cat's trust and showering them with the specific attention and love they need. Every cat has such a unique personality, and I find it incredibly rewarding to figure out what makes each one happy. Seeing a shy cat open up or a playful cat get excited when I walk through the door is the most rewarding part of the job!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My biggest advice is to choose a sitter who prioritizes open communication and asks specific questions about your cat’s unique personality. Every cat thrives on routine, so it is important to find someone who will closely follow their exact feeding, litter, and playtime schedules. I also highly recommend scheduling a quick meet-and-greet beforehand. This ensures your cat feels comfortable with the sitter in their own space, and it gives you total peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in safe, loving hands.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
