Cat Sitting in Denver, CO

Hi there, I’m Amanda! I’m a caring, dependable cat lover who understands that every cat has their own personality, routine, and comfort zone. I’ve had my own cat, Harold, for 9 years, so I know firsthand how tough it can be to be away from them. My goal is to give you the same peace of mind that they’re safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away that I want.

Whether your cat is playful and social, shy and cautious, or happiest doing their own thing, I’ll meet them where they are and give them plenty of patience and attention. I’m happy to follow their usual routines, including feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, and cuddles (when invited!).

I’ll treat your cat with the same care and respect I’d want someone to give Harold, and I’ll be in touch every step of the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! 🐱

Learn More About Amanda

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 9 year old cat named Harold. He makes every day better and has converted me into a true cat lover. He loves napping, playing “treat hunt”, and chin scratches.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to start with a meet-and-greet so I can get to know you, your cat, and their unique personality and routine. We’ll go over everything from feeding and medications to litter box preferences, favorite toys, hiding spots, and any quirks or special instructions. Before your trip, I make sure I have everything I need and understand your cat’s normal routine so there are as few surprises as possible. During each visit, I’ll follow their routine, give them plenty of attention (or space, if that’s what they prefer!), and send you updates and photos so you can relax knowing your little one is doing well. I also like to leave things tidy and make sure your home is secure when I leave. My goal is for your cat to feel comfortable and cared for, and for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Your cat’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. Before my first visit, I make sure I understand your cat’s routine, any medical needs, food sensitivities, and anything else that could affect their safety, and I create a checklist to go through during each visit to ensure I don’t miss anything. During each visit, I carefully follow your instructions, make sure doors and windows are secure, check that food and water are fresh, and keep an eye out for anything unusual in your cat’s behavior or environment. I’m also mindful of darting when opening doors, as this is one of Harold’s habits. If I notice anything concerning, I’ll communicate with you right away and follow your preferred plan for handling emergencies. I treat every cat with patience and care.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
