Cat Sitting in Arvada, CO
I found a little stray cat and took her in and we instantly bonded. She was very independent and loved to roam around the neighborhood but would always come back home to cuddle and make biscuits on my face. This is where I started to feel what a real bond with a cat feels like and it was amazing. We had made an appointment to get her spayed and to my surprise we found out she was pregnant just a week before we were supposed to take her in! She had the cutest belly full of kittens and months later she popped out a few orange babies. I helped her give birth and it was a very sacred experience.
She had two twins and one of them was not thriving much at all. We were determined not to lose him, so we nursed him with a bottle as often as we could and kept him warm. Soon, the kittens were running around and playing... Hi I’m Halle! A loud and proud lover of cats! My journey of loving cats started about 4 years ago. I had always had dogs as pets and I loved them of course but in my opinion, nothing is like the love of a cat. I got my first cat on Halloween about 5 years ago.

A few months later, I was moving in with my brother who’d only allow one cat, so I gave our strong brother squirt to my good friend and kept my little Sushi that I had nursed and my mom took in Momma Kitty. My Sushi is now three years and he is my greatest treasure.
Regarding my experience with cats, I don’t have any in a professional setting, but another way I have learned was through a journey I had with a cat named Phil. He was a very shy and timid cat. Over many months I learned that all he needed was time, patience, and love. Then he began to absolutely blossom. Cats, just like all living creatures have different personalities and I think that is very important to how you care for a cat. I have watched my friends and family’s cats and thought this would be a great community to join. I also used to be a house cleaner and would regularly go into peoples homes and attend to their pets as well.
I currently work in a restaurant called the Yardhouse as a server. My goal is to eventually have enough money to open a cat rescue and my life’s goal is to save and give as many cats a loving home as a can. I truly want to be a cat sitter to spend more time with cats as I’m only allowed to have one in my home.
⭐️Due to my flippant work schedule to both morning and night shifts that are randomly picked. I do afternoon/evening visits about the 12-9 time frame. I will get my schedule about 2 weeks in advance and I will let you know as soon as I can which days I’ll be doing an afternoon visit and what day I’ll be doing an evening visit. What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to spend more time with cats. Providing a safe and trusted environment for both the owners and the cats.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 2 year old orange tabby names Sushi! He is a bundle of energy and the biggest lover.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Go through their cats personality type. Specific care needs no matter how big or small. Taking notes on where food, litter water, toys, and cleaning supplies are. How they’d like me to enter and leave their home.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Make sure cats don’t get out of the house or go in any areas that could be dangerous. Don’t leave anything dangerous out that the cats could get into such as cleaning supplies or sharp objects.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Make sure to get down on their level, don’t be overbearing, be confident and loving. Especially let them come to me and let show them that they can trust me.

He needed medication and I gave an extensive list on Olaf’s care while I was gone and Halle did EVERY single thing on this list each visit without hesitation. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Arvada cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
