I grew up having many different cats as our family pets, and I currently have two of my own furrballs. I feel that I’ve had experience with all different cat personalities and I’m confident that I can connect with them all. I volunteered at a cat shelter for 2 years, and got to work with abused and neglected cats. That experience really helped me build the confidence to work with shy and scared kitties.
As a cat parent myself, I understand how anxiety inducing it can be to leave your cat at home. I promise that I’ll do anything in my power to help relieve that stress so you can enjoy your trip!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do! We have a boy named Wiggie (legal name is Mr. Wiggins). And a girl named Ashoka! They are both big furry goofballs, and they’re absolutely spoiled.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to hear about their routines with their cats! As a cat parent myself I know how picky my cats can be, and I know how important it is to follow a routine with them. I also like to ask about their biggest concerns with cat sitting, so I can do my best to address any anxieties.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I like to move very slowly and quietly to avoid startling them. I am happy to sit on the floor for 30 minutes if that’s what it takes for a new kitty to come say hi! Also, if they want absolutely nothing to do with me, I will happily give them their space and just make sure they have everything they need!

Sarah was very attentive during the Meet and Greet, and while we were gone did everything just as we asked. She was very timely and responsible. Our kitties are very shy so we knew they wouldn’t come out to play, but Sarah let us know every day that the food was being eaten.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Englewood cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
