I grew up with all kinds of pets but knew at an early age that the love of a cat was the best feeling of all. I live with an amazing Tabico named Ziggy. Her sister, Tiggy, passed over the rainbow and we found a new kitty soul to care for. That is when Sherman entered our lives. He may be a Maine Coon Mix but whatever he is he is amazing! He has brought renewed joy into our home.
As a pet owner I want the cats and their families to know that I will put them first. I love all personalities and especially the shy guys. Patience and a sweet, calming voice can go a long way. Also, belly rubs never hurt!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
From my childhood I have always enjoyed my experience with my own pets and those of my friends and family. Though I have not worked for an agency before, my childhood excitement for pet care is as strong as ever. Taking the stress away from your travels knowing that someone cares about your pets as much as you do is very important to me.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Meeting new cats and getting to know their personalities is a wonderful experience. I find joy caring for them and look forward to seeing their sweet faces when I arrive at their homes.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Our darling Tabico Ziggy and her new brother and Maine Coon mix kitten, Sherman. These rescue cats bring us so much joy!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Let the cats meet the person and decide for themselves. Witnessing this first interaction will speak volumes. Cats know all!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When I receive a new reservation the first thing I do is set up a meet and greet meeting. This ensures that the cat parents and their kitties have a chance to get to know me. The more information and interaction time I can have will ensure a smoother time once the family goes away. I give detailed updates after every visit and make sure to leave their homes as nice as I found them. I just want everyone to know how things are going and to not worry while I am there caring for their babies!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Making sure to close doors, windows and baby gates is a great first step. I also double check that there is safe access to their food, water and litter box before leaving the house. Another easy step is to keep the main areas free of clutter to prevent any accident or injury.
What is your favorite cat toy?
No real toy is better than an empty box! I will always be amazed by the power of it. Our new hobby is trying to teach our kitten to play fetch with his small toys!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I know cats can vary wildly on this point but I find getting on the ground and speaking slowly and softly is a good start. We have a timid kitty and the best way to coax her out is to give her space, have her food in a place that is close to her hiding space and patience.

Ashleigh was the first person ever, in Rumi's 6 years of life, that he allowed to pet him other than my husband and I. He decided it was fine for her to pet him on Ashleighs first day feeding them! Previous cat sitters couldn't even be sure he'd eaten because he was hiding constantly and his sister may have been (most likely was) eating his food. Ashleigh took notes at our first meeting that perfectly reflected the cats routine. We got photos twice a day of them eating, being petted and clean litter boxes. Rishi followed her around the house the same way she follows me when I'm here. -We had so much peace knowing the fur babies were in such trustworthy hands getting lots of love.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Littleton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Ashleigh was a great cat sitter! She met with us before hand to go over what the cats needed, sent updates and pictures when she visited, and went above and beyond to make sure the cats were taken care of and happy. One of my cats is very shy and usually hides the whole time, but even she warmed up to Ashleigh. Ashleigh treated our kitties as if they were her own. she even helped us figure out a way to ensure that one of the kitties ate his own special food while allowing all four of them to play during our visits. She always took plenty of photos, cleaned all the kitty areas and was just a comfort to us while we were out of town. I’d 100% recommend Ashleigh to anyone who’s considering a cat sitter.

My first time using a cat sitting service couldn't have been better. Ashleigh was prompt for our meet-n-greet, and answered all my questions, alleviating my concerns. My cat basically hid every time she came over, but she sent pictures and text updates showing my cat was eating plenty. Ashleigh was responsive to my messages, adjusting feeding as requested. All in all, this was a great experience, making it comfortable using Meowtel. I will definitely seek her services the next time.
