What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have cat sit for around 8 years and have loved every single opportunity to look after cats. I have cat sit 3 cats max and over a wide range in age but not under 2 months. One has been diabetic and I'm comfortable with elderly cats as one of mine is 12+. I am also comfortable with medications and injections.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Meeting new cats! I will give them all the love they accept from me. My goal is for them to be stress-free and happy. I love seeing happy cats and when they are full of food and ready for long naps. It makes me happy when they are relaxed and purring. They are simply the best company! ( I would die for them you know:)

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I have sat for these two twin sisters before and the shy one that I spent time with got so comfortable with me she licked my nose. And it was the sweetest moment for me, I felt so bad for leaving them, but I had stayed past midnight after I already looked after them and had to take care of my own cats. But I miss them! They were so fun to play with I wish we were close neighbors.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

3 kitties! +1 at home Lily (Lily Potter) 15 years and loves her quiet life, she's small and otter-like. My best friend since 2013 Morgana (from Merlin) 2 years and a big girl! She's my curiosity kitty and loves her string toys. I adore her. Merlin: 1yr 8mo, the sweetest boy, the talker and the magician. I adore him. The most unique gray tux. Arthur: my sweet, pretty, shy boy who has been through a lot and just wants to be buried in his blanket near me and purr forever. I adore him. I adore them all so much.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Look for someone that's just passionate about cats. There's taking care of them, but if they really want love and enrichment, you want someone that is also passionate.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Meeting always! Cats need to build trust sometimes and they need to know who is feeding them isn't there to disturb, as best as one can. The more information and details the better. Since cats are harder to read, anything that they prefer, no matter how small, should be sought to cover if their parent is away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Always checking the environment, doors and windows but also noise and movement. I always like to check if they ever get into anything, food or not. Scanning for anything different and making sure the cats have everything they need for them to feel safe.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Depends! But I have been available before. Just ask! Small holidays I am usually available for so for November and December it will depend on school and traveling.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Kicker toys and the little spirals!! My cats LOVE them. Pointers and wands can be really great as well. Also enrichment toys for treats

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Give them their space, be patient, and let them come to you when they are ready! Let them feel like it is still their space and that they are safe with you! Never forcing the interactions. And leaving promptly to avoid lingering stress can be done. I know how to be quiet and aware of my noise levels and presence.
