Cat Sitting in Loveland, CO

Hi, I’m a 26-year-old Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado with over three years of hands-on veterinary experience! 🐾
Caring for animals is something I truly love, and my veterinary background has given me the knowledge and experience to provide attentive, dependable care for cats with a wide variety of personalities and needs. I’m comfortable caring for shy or nervous cats, recognizing changes in behavior or health, and administering medications when needed.

I’m also a proud cat mom to my two kitties, Oscar and Farron! šŸ±šŸ’• They’ve given me plenty of experience with the unique personalities, quirks, and routines that make cats so special...

I’m also a proud cat mom to my two kitties, Oscar and Farron! šŸ±šŸ’• They’ve given me plenty of experience with the unique personalities, quirks, and routines that make cats so special. Being a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to know that your pets are safe, comfortable, and receiving the same love and attention they would get at home.

During each visit, I’ll take the time to follow your cat’s normal routine, respect their boundaries, provide enrichment and playtime, and give them affection when they’re looking for it. Whether your kitty is a social butterfly who wants all the attention or a little more reserved and needs time to warm up, I’ll meet them where they’re at.

My veterinary experience also means I’m comfortable with care that may require a little extra knowledge or confidence, including medication administration and keeping an eye out for anything unusual. Your cat’s wellbeing is always my top priority.

I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes during my visits so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your cats and help make your time apart a little easier! šŸ¾šŸ’—

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with a new cat parent, I like to start with a meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other and I can meet your cat in their own environment. I’ll take the time to learn about their personality, daily routine, feeding preferences, litter box habits, favorite activities, and any medications or special care they may need. I also like to go over your cat’s normal behavior and any things I should watch for, as well as your preferred method of communication while you’re away. Since I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician, I’m especially attentive to changes in behavior or health and will always reach out if something seems unusual. Before your trip, I make sure I have clear instructions, emergency contacts, veterinary information, and access details. During each visit, I follow your cat’s routine as closely as possible, provide plenty of attention and enrichment, and send photos and updates.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

As a Registered Veterinary Technician, safety and attention to detail are very important to me. During each visit, I carefully follow the care instructions provided by the owner and make sure cats are secure before entering or leaving the home. I double-check doors, windows, and other potential escape routes, and I’m mindful of each cat’s individual personality and behavior. I also monitor for any changes in appetite, litter box habits, behavior, or overall health and will promptly communicate any concerns to the owner. I’m comfortable administering medications and recognizing signs that may require veterinary attention. For the home, I treat every space with the same care and respect I would want for my own home. I make sure doors are locked when I leave, follow any specific home-security instructions, and keep the home clean and secure throughout my visits. I’ll also provide photos and updates so you can have peace of mind.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is definitely a feather wand! I love toys that mimic the movement of real prey because they tap into a cat’s natural hunting instincts. A feather toy on the end of a string and wand lets you vary the movement—darting, hiding, fluttering, and changing direction—which makes play more engaging and mentally stimulating. It’s a great way to provide exercise, enrichment, and a fun opportunity for cats to express their natural behaviors!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Loveland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
