I’m a 45 year old in my last semester of an MSW degree in social work from the University of CT. I live in the Hartford area and have my own transportation. I have over 35 years of pet care experience, including cats and other pets of varying species. I have a great love for and interest in animals.
I currently own one quirky and adorable cat who has my heart. She’s 12, very picky, and loves Party Mix. I’ve have had a cat friend as part of my life for the past 20 years, and can’t imagine living without one! I have experience administering insulin/subq, oral medicine, and eye drops... I consider my specialty with cats to be my empathy in response to what they are feeling and thinking/acting.
I truly love making a connection with animals, and really getting to know their individual personalities and traits. I respect my clients’ homes and will care for your home impeccably, and leave it as clean as when I arrived (or cleaner!). I’m happy to do small house chores such as watering plants and bringing in your mail.

Jennifer was awesome with our baby girl!! Two days before we left for our trip, we were told that our senior girl needed subcutaneous IV fluids every other day. I was panicked, but Jennifer was calm, cool, and collected. She had no issues with getting our sweet girl used to getting the IV fluids while we were gone as well as adding an additional oral medication. Our cat was also in the middle of not wanting to eat her normal food, but Jennifer was happy to try out different foods and tricks to get our cat to eat while we were gone. It takes a little bit for our girl to warm up to people when we’re not there, but by the end of our trip, she was curled up in Jennifer’s lap every evening and even slept in the blanket with her! Jennifer is amazing and I would highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic trustworthy catsitter!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Bloomfield cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
