I know how anxious both you and your fur child can get when youāre away from each other (iāve been there myself), so I try my best to make both of you feel reassured. I'll send as many photos as you'd like and respond ASAP. I'll take health and safety precautions and can mask up if you prefer.
Iāll follow routines closely (meals and treats, walks, playtime and toys, etc... I'm Annie (also Yuehan)! Hello to all proud cat parents~ Iām a fellow cat mom. Though in this current phase of life she's enjoying time with grandma š I've fostered ranging from kittens to older cats and am comfortable administering eye drops and oral medication.
I know how anxious both you and your fur child can get when youāre away from each other (iāve been there myself), so I try my best to make both of you feel reassured. I'll send as many photos as you'd like and respond ASAP. I'll take health and safety precautions and can mask up if you prefer.
Iāll follow routines closely (meals and treats, walks, playtime and toys, etc.) and keep a close eye to see if anything is out of the ordinary based on what youāve told me. I also want to respect your home and space so Iāll leave it as tidy as it was when I entered š
Playtime will be adjusted to your cat's personality and preferences :) Will also be open to cuddles if they are comfortable with it. Keeping your pet active, happy, and satisfied is my goal!
I am luckily a fully remote freelance designer, so I have the availability to do drop-ins any time of the day or house sit any time of the week.
Please let me know any things particular to your pet so that I can care for them to my best ability!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Itās such an amazing feeling to earn a catās trust. They are such precious creatures and I love getting to know each catās personality because they are all so different! It brings me a lot of joy and peace to provide a comfortable and safe space for them while their family is away. Watching them come out of their shell and accept my care is one of the most rewarding things.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a fur baby named Maomi ā¤ļø She has a white coat and my family got her almost 10 years ago. Itās hard to accept that sheās that old because sheās just a baby in my eyes. She helped me through a lot during my teenage years and I donāt think she even knows it. I hope she lives 100 more years š
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When entering the home, I come in slowly and talk to them in a gentle, high-pitched voice. I usually try to get low to the ground by crouching or sitting on the floor so that they feel less intimidated. Then I let me smell me, and if they rub themselves onto my hand, I will slowly pet them. If they turn away, Iāll sit for a bit more and talk to them, refill food and water and clean their litter in a quiet and calm manner. Then Iāll come back to them to let them sniff again, and just let them get more familiar with my presence. Often times a toy or some treats will help them engage with me, but I will never push them out of their comfort zone. Itās common for kitties become anxious when meeting someone new, so I try my best to make them feel safe!

Annie was absolutely phenomenal - I truly canāt recommend her highly enough!! This was my first time using Meowtel for my two ~8-month-old kittens, and she made the entire experience completely stress-free. She stayed at my home and spent a lot of quality time with them, which was super important to me since theyāre very social and used to me working from home. It was clear from her updates that they werenāt just being āchecked on,ā but genuinely cared for, played with, and kept company. Annie sent frequent, thoughtful (and often hilarious!) updates with lots of photos and videos of the three of them having a blast, which gave me SO much peace of mind! I have trusted Yuehan to care for my cats for over 10 years, and I honestly canāt imagine a better cat sitter. Over that time, Iāve had both an older cat (who has since passed and is now with the angels) and a younger one. My older one was more anxious and needed a gentle caretaker whereas my kitten is a lot more playful/rowdy. Yuehan has been wonderful with both! My older cat required daily oral medication and could sometimes be fussy about it but Yuehan handled it calmly, confidently, and with so much care. I always felt completely at ease knowing my cats were not only being looked after, but genuinely cared for. Yuehan is incredibly attentive, patient, and intuitive with cats. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Washington cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
