I have 1 cat of my own, a feisty 17-year-old little lady named Sally. She has arthritis in her hips so I give her oral medication every day. Sally was raised part feral but is now an indoor cat due to her age. She still loves to explore, so she has supervised outdoor time and I take her on small adventures to keep her stimulated.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Shoelaces! I tie 2-3 shoelaces together to make an extra long cat toy and run around the house with my cat chasing after me as she 'hunts' it. I make sure to stop for a bit once my cat has caught it so she can enjoy her 'catch.' Catnip-filled toys and toys with feathers are also a favorite.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them space. I have an anxious cat myself, but if she knows she has her space and is given areas with her scent on it (scratch pads, beds, cat tree) then she feels much more comfortable and at ease. After all, it's a cat's world and we're just living in it. With timid/anxious cats, I am extra calm as they might be startled more easily, especially with a new person in their home. It is best that I provide a calm demeanor and let the cat come to me when it is ready.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
